I for one wont miss the crappy scottish weather...nothin but rain and fog, seldom have any kind of summer there. At least here in the states you can pretty much guarantee yer gonna have a hot summer.

I wont miss the coffee, i've got a taste for General Foods International coffee's...my favourite being *French Vanilla* yummy.

I do however miss my fairy liquid and DECENT gravy,,,AHHHH BISTO!! :crying:

The Christmas Tree Shop sells Bisto too. I've seen it in a LOT of places. Method dishwashing soap is a good alternative to Fairy Liquid. It really does cut the grease!

I can't stand flavoured coffee. Just the smell of it makes me heave. Whoever thought that was a good idea? *Speeeeew*

Except when they mean FREE DAY OFF WORK

Fortunately in LA we have Obama visits and Carmageddon to fulfill that need

Even though I live and work on the west side, I never get a day off when we have an Obamajam. Factor in the Wilshire Blvd on-ramp mess going on for the next YEAR and maybe a transport strike isn't so bad after all.unsure.gif

On the other hand, the Culver City Expo Line station opened today at last.star_smile.gif (Not that it actually goes any further west than that, but still.)

Waiting 3 weeks to see a doctor.

The 20% VAT.

Not having a car.

The rain (but i am trading it in for snow, so that one might change!).

they have a world market where i am going to be living you can get 100s of british food, snacks and condiments. but i don't think food is something i will miss much.

just the stupid cost of everything in the uk will not be missed. if you order a pizza it will cost your $30 plus
