Ha.... Pleas read quote entirely. I am definitely aware that we all got abused from x-partner.

However, each of us has different situation and process. I just found that the one get similar situation on the process so that I'm asking her/him for sharing.

I just want to kindly leave the quote to avoid any misunderstanding.

Thx.

Send  a certified letter to your attorney informing that his representation is being terminated.   Last year one member from VJ  missed his AOS interview because his attorney did not inform USCIS that the representation ended, the attorney received the AOS interview letter and did not contact his former client, the AOS was denied and the guy has to refile the AOS  again. Ask your lawyer proof that he informed USCIS ok.

Send a NOTARIZED  letter to USCIS informing that your attorney is not representing you anymore, and ask them to send all mails to your address.

Oh well that means I am stuck with this lawyer, who already delayed & neglected and doesn't follow up with my case!!! I can't imagine what  could happen if I gave my lawyer an actual reason to be unethical! I'm forced to wait and continue to do the work myself to prevent future damages :(

Yes and that's kinda weird because I've seen other people file and be approved in that duration (9months) i assumed they take longer time on men's petition than women maybe because they think men are usually the abuser lol...  Though they automatically issued me a prima facie twice in the process.. I never used the prima facie for nothing btw, i applied for medicaid and was told i didn't qualify because i have no kids blah blah blah.... Just glad this is all coming to an end and i can start living my own life again...

Congratulations.

Oh my issue was that i got a Ticket for driving without a DL (i didnt have one then) and the officer misspelled my name so uscis needed a new police record for each alias's that ive used in the past showing that im clean with all names or allias's.

so all i did was a letter being very specific about the officer mistake so they dont have to think that ive ever used other names in purpuse, and i supported my letter with a new police record including l my name misplelled the way the officer wrote it on that ticket.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I am a similar situation now. I got the 1st REF for good motal character and bona fide marrige. After submitting the documentation following REF, I got the Prima Facie.

However, I recently got noticed that USCIS sent 2nd REF. I had no idea what I'm supposed to. Even, I didnot get the notice documentation for a month so that I requested a copy last week.

If you don't mind, could you share what was your issue for second REF for the good moral character? I'm also thinking that I might have an issue.

If you feel it is hard to share in public, could you send me a message then? I will be really appreciated for it.

By the way, I was really encouraged from your quote because I was desperate that I don't have any documentation more that I can send to USCIS. So, I was really embarrassed when I got notice for 2nd REF.

Please share your 2nd REF about with quote or messgae.

Thanks again!

Of course i have no problem sharing it because thats how we all learned what we know so far sharing experiences.

My issue was that i got a Ticket for driving without a DL (i didnt have one then) and the officer mispelled my last name writting one letter wrong chaged it completly, so uscis needed a new police record for each alias's that ive used in the past showing that im clean with all names or allias's.

so all i did was a letter being very specific about the officer mistake so they dont have to think that ive ever used other names in purpuse, and i supported my letter with a new police record including  my name misplelled the way the officer wrote it on that ticket.

I feel you. This divorce and VAWA process is so hard it made me realize how life can be unfair but whatever the outcome it sure did make me stronger.. keep faith and just focus on the end goal. This time will pass too... : )

Thanks Hun. Each morning I wake up feeling so excited to see what's in store. The waiting process can be a bit nerve rocking but at the same time there I sooo much to be thankful for. 🌞
