How many days is it typically before you get the E-Notification after you guys sent in your packets? I sent mine on the 10th, they signed for it on the 12th and I still haven't received anything so I am starting to get worried. I don't want any problems that will make me have to mail out another packet past the 23rd when the fees go up.

For those that recently submitted their packets and received the notifications, how long did it take for you?

It took us 7 days for our K-1 package. We mailed the Package on Thursday Night 12/1/2016 and got the E-notification on 12/7th/2016.

10/16/2015-------Started Dating ( we had met in person in 2012 and been friends thru the years)

11/12/2016------- Met in person again

11/14/2016------- Got engaged

12/01/2016------ I-129F Mailed to Lewisville, TX

12/05/2016------ NOA 1 Text message

12/08/2016------ NOA 1 Hard copy

03/08/2017------ NOA 2 On USCIS website

03/21/2017------ NVC Recieves

03/22/2017------ Case # assigned and sent to Embassy 

03/28/2017------ Case Reaches the embassy and updated on the CEAC website as "Ready"

04/10/2017------ Calls embassy to inquire about interview slot and told there is none.....Case last updated on CEAC website, still says "Ready"

This varies from person to person.

I've seen some people get theirs within a week. Some 2 weeks. Some don't get theirs at all.

I mailed out my packet 11/4.

They received 11/7.

E notification received 11/22

I don't think you would be subject to the new fees because you mailed it out way before they went up

Thanks everybody. My worry is that if there is something wrong with the packet,it seems as though for others the packet was sent back to them. From some of the topics on this board, they didnt hear back from USCIS too and just had their packets mailed back to them. If that happens, I am assuming that a new submission has to be done with the new fees after December 23. Or does the original submission date count?

Check cashed last night, but no notification here yet. Given previous responses we probably won't see it for another week or so. Filed on December 13th, however I'd assume that Christmas holidays have slowed things down a bit.

03-19-2021: Officially an American Citizen 🇺🇸 Entire journey from initial K-1 Visa filing to Naturalization took 5 years, 8 days.
