So I am in the States :) got married :dancing: and now I am in the process of filling out the I-485. I have a question about the biometrics and payment.

When I had my interview for the visa back in my home country (Peru), they took my fingerprints and I handed passport photos. Does that mean I no longer have to pay and have a biometric scheduled? or do i have to pay for biometrics and get it scheduled?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you will have to pay for the biometrics along with the I485 (and EAD+AP if you want) and they will schedule the appointment for you. Right now it costs $1070 but it will go up on the 23rd!

~Inquiry about AOS-related process, past K1~

(mod hat off)

For K1 Processes, USCIS rquires and collects biometrics numerous times during the process toward naturalization, they are not optional. They need to be collected and paid for as indicated in the various forms instructions, read them for more specifics.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
