When do I send the Affidavit of Support?

Seems I'm a little late in finding out that there's a fee for the i-864, but luckily the NVC invoices that fee. I set up and sent my package for the CR1 for the USCIS but I also included the i-864 in the package thinking it was necessary for evidence. Will it be a problem for the USCIS, or will I just have to resend the i-864 some other time after USCIS approve? If I do when do I send it and to who? I'm all new to this so I'm really hoping everything is ok.

Thank you

It's not needed for USCIS.

After the I-130 has been approved by USCIS, your file will be sent to the NVC and that's when you need the I-864 (as well as other things).
