Filling out the I-130 form

1: I have a question about the second page of the I-130 form. Section 17 states "List spouse and all children of your relative". I am an American. If I'm filing for my wife, whose name do I write? Also, we have three children together. We have already gone through the process of making them American citizens after they were born. Should I still list them on the form as I am not applyiing for their citizenship.

2: On D2 "Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien?" should I check the box for yes or no? Over 13 years ago we started the visa process but stopped after receiving a case number and did nothing at all to maintain the information as we decided to live in Japan at that time instead. Would it be better for us to just say no that we've never filed before to avoid lengthening the processing time?

For your first question, it's yourself. I believe you can see this on the sample form.

For the second, i would think "yes" is the safer bet.

Read carefully and do exactly as asked.

1. It ask to list all children. It does not ask if you are applying for citizenship or anything else for your children. It simply states to list all your children. No more than that.

2. The answer is yes. You filed a petition before. It does ask what happened after your filed the petition. It only asked if you have ever filed a petition before.
