So I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer. I explained everything to him, I even mentioned that there was discussion online

regarding whether or not this is a system glitch, or legitimate update and that many people have received the same update at once.

So he took my information, I mentioned that I had 2 different receipt numbers (one of which used to bring up an error). He put me on hold for

a couple minutes. When he came back he said that he looked in multiple places (in his system I assume) and it's still showing that my case

is at the California Service Center. He said that the case status thing was most likely an error. He also mentioned

that if my case had been transferred and that if I was scheduled for an interview that I would've received a letter in the mail as well.

I'm just going to go back to assuming the online case status system is not reliable and assume that I'm stuck waiting like I was a couple days ago

Thank you so much for your sharing, this massive update message is weird. I guess if any applicant who have their ROC approved to check their other WAC number maybe able to test if it's a system glitch.

Others may know better, but at this point, I wouldn't worry about informing them.  If you are scheduled for an interview, certainly you should update them, but otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Thank you very much for your kindness that you provided comfortable information. I. Wil keep your words in mind. Thanks again.

Another update, and I'm guessing a mass update. My I751 WAC number now says the case was received on March 5th at the local office. Pretty much the same thing as before, but they updated the feb 26th date to March 5th. -_-

Yeah I saw that as well and thought I'd check here to see if it was a glitch...and guess yes

You right I misread it. However it's coming not from a local office..so maybe they started transfer in between service centers which would explain this approval being way out of the order. Time will tell I guess!

Mine was updated as well but the case was received on March 4th not the 5th. I guess there is some variation.

No, you can't get approved for n 400 without interview. And how long it runs depends on local office, for example in mine it's 13 months. A person got approval not from local office, no interview. Just roc

I wasn't implying that the N-400 completed, but if you have applied for it, I have seen VJers indicate that their i-751 was expedited.  In my area, it is more likely that they will do it with the N-400 interview, but perhaps not everywhere.  It was just a WAG on why it might have been out of sequence

Hello, long time forum lurker here. Thanks for everyone's stories, this process is confusing as hell. I'm going in to get my i-551 stamp, but my infopass appointment is a day after my year extension letter expires. Has anyone heard if that's a problem or not?

Thanks for your help!

may be that case was a RFE, i have seem some RFE cases were approved earlier than the regular queue. since the RFE was sent to different place?
