Hi Everybody!I just recieved an email from USCIS since I signed up for an electronic updates of my case. And this is what it said:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On March 29, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

As far as I understood that they sent the welcome letter through mail already last March 29th.But i'm just want to know what do they meant when they said this "Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later" especially the ADIT PROCESSING that there talking about.Hope anyone who did recieved the same letter will kindly shared there stories to us..I will appreciate you immediate response and your help. Thank you in advance and have a nice day.

sincerely,

Ann

I did see an explanation of it somewhere on here, but the important thing to know is that you don't have to worry about it. Congrats! You'll most likely have your GC in a few weeks.

You can search the forum or the internet to see exactly what it means but it appears to be an old term that isn't important anymore (and maybe someone forgot to tell USCIS to take that out of their emails!)

Congrats on getting your Green Card, now you can relax

ADIT is one of those old terminology it stands for

ADIT Alien Documentation, Identification & Telecommunications System (ADIT Photo's no longer used by the USCIS )

Gone but not Forgotten!
