Affidavit of Support

Has anyone had their partner fill out the affidavit of support yet? If so, my fiancé and I are confused by question 11. I do intend or I do not intend. He seems to think if he ticks do not intend it means it's because I'm staying there with him in his house and he will pay for me until I get a job. I think he should be ticking I do intend to support her because that's what the purpose of the form is anyway. Can anyone tell me which one is right?

Have a look at the example I-134. The box is left unchecked. It didn't make sense to me, either.

I think it should be either 'do not intend' or N/A like in the example. Maybe someone who completed can chime in for clarity?

Hi,

You don't need to check that, just write N/A as that field is only to be filled if the person entering the country is going to be there for a certain amount of time, during which he/she will need to be provided for.

It doesn't apply to K1 visas or any immigrant visas
