A little confused with the case status/history. Approved on Apr 17, 2018, but card being produced on Apr 13, 2018, and I still haven't receiced my green card yet. Anyone in similar situation or has any insight? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your case! Not sure why there is a delay in mailing the card.

My pleasure!

Yes, that makes the two of us. I'm not overly concerned as I'll become a citizen on May 11th, however, it does sound like great material for a good joke I'll be able to tell in the future.

I would say a month wait is a good "guesstimate".

Luckily, I do a lot of international traveling, so when I went for my I-551 stamp, they gave me one for a year without skipping a beat (the officer made a comment about all my travels, so I didn't even have to convince her!). This was last November, shortly after I applied for citizenship.

I can't access my case atm, but I had a similar thing, where the approval show later than the card being produced. I actually called and they said it might be a glitch (it's useless to call), but a couple of days letters I received the notice of approval in the mail (the GC can take a long time to arrive)

thank you for the comment.

Quite frankly as the moment I am more likely just to go back to the UK and possibly visit back and forth - as one of our daughters is emigrating to canada on a fast track system

so they will be able to sponsor me for canadian residency.

If THAT happens fairly quickly (as seems likely) then I can simply tell the US system to have a running poke at a rolling doughnut! and stop being a target for their ridiculously inefficient and really inhumane system.

That is most likely my way forward.

I am just fortunate to have another option ... many do not have and are trapped in this disgusting system...

How long did it take for you to receive the GC from card being produced?

I haven't received my card yet (and I don't think I will receive it any time soon) In fact we were joking with @Nikkosan that we might receive our US passport before we receive our GC.

However, I got access to my account and this is what it looks like:
