Hello, I have a question regarding the vaccinations. My wife to be has now arrived here in the United States as of yesterday. She still requires a booster for MMR and Varicella in order for those to be complete. Can someone tell me who I should be contacting regarding these vaccinations.

Also to research AoS for us, is K1 visa considered a family based visa? what catagory should i be looking under to find this information?

You can receive the vaccines anywhere as long as you get them to provide proof the vaccine has been administered. At this point you will schedule an appointment with a Civil Surgeon, provide the vaccination documents, and that should suffice for them to finalize your DS-3025.

All in though, you can save yourself several trips to doctors by having a Civil Surgeon administer the follow-up vaccines.

You can find authorized Civil Surgeons on this website. https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor

If your wife has been added to your health insurance, you can go a network primary care doctor to do the vaccinations (normally covered by health insurance).

Then take the vaccinations record to the civil surgeon to complete the I-693 form for Adjustment of Status. This civil surgeon is not covered by health insurance, has to pay out of pocket. So it is prudent to call around to ask for prices upfront.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

What you end up doing for the vaccination?

Mines has MMR and Varicella 1st shot given. However, TD shot is marked (D not routinely available). It does have "US vaccination requirements complete" marked.

So you think the "TD shot, FLU, and I-693 need to be filled out by Civil surgeon"? I called a couple of places. About $200 ($90 visit, TD shot $90, and Flu shot $35 without insurance). Thanks!

Did you get a chance to review the excellent pinned thread in the Fam.-based AOS Forum about Immunizations: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/ ? Your topic is often discussed at that forum.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Try getting the shots done at CVS, insurance will pay for it (assuming she is covered under your plan). It should cost under $100 for the CS to administer the TB test and fill up the form.

AOS - 130 days

ROC - 15m

N400 - 10/18/2019

bio - 11/4/19

It's worth noting that most Civil Surgeons will take insurance for the administering of the Vaccinations, however depending on how they file the claim to insurance, it may or may not be covered. For example, we have BCBS, and BCBS does not cover vaccinations administered as part of Immigration. So we instead went to CVS and had the claim filed as preventative care.
