EVerify Problem

Hi, I adjusted from a K1 earlier this year. I was approved and got my Green Card, but it had my name wrong so filed an i90 to get a replacement and that is being processed at the moment.

My issue is my employer can't eVerify me as the records in SSA aren't updated. I am going to try do this tomorrow with the i551 stamp in my passport and drivers license. Will this be enough to have my work authorisation added to my Social Security number? I was approved for an EAD but had issues with my name so it was taken back and replaced by stamp in passport as GC was approved.

Any suggestions? Have proof of address, stamp in passport and DL but no physical Green card

Did your employer not check with your SSN? I thought that was the standard way of verifying. If not, perhaps have them check with the wrongly spelt name?

E-verify should work regardless of what your SSN says about working. Was your name correct on your k1 visa when you entered? If there are issues then your SAVE database needs to be fixed. In Colorado it's generally fixed when you need a driver's license so at the Department of Revenue, but I'm sure this varies state by state. Check with the USCIS SAVE database website.

I checked the SAVE database with my alien registration number and it came back with 2 entries, one from my Georgia DL application back in May amd today's visit to SSA. Hope this resolves the problem.
