Went to my Oath Ceremony this morning - what a beautiful ceremony. At was at the Federal Courthouse so it was a judge presiding - he was very gracious in his comments and it was all so moving! We were in there a couple of hours from the appointment time, at the end of which we were awarded our certificates like a graduation! Fantastic experience - we were all given our first American flags and a letter each from the offices of our 2 senators and our congressman.

Like everyone else who's got this far, I'm happy to be done with it; I'm happy to be a USC and feel like USCIS and I just got a divorce! B-)

Congratulations !!!! :):):)

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to any of you who's getting their citizenship and best of luck to the ones who are still waiting.

I am a fellow Houston October 16 filer and unfortunately my online status never updated beyond "fingerprint appt scheduled". I had inquired back in May about my case and the only response that I got was you're in line for an interview and haven't heard back yet. I called again around the end of July and spoke with an L2 officer and he said it's still In background check! So that got me  concerned to which one I should believe. My NOA was Oct. 13th and fingerprint November 28th.

Any idea or suggestions on what to do next or when will I be receiving my interview notice?

I appreciate anyone's feedback with a similar experience.

Thanks

Hello Moose81. If I were you, I'd go ahead and make an info pass appointment at this stage. Particularly where you've been given conflicting information.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hi cdneh,

I tried for months to schedule one but every time I checked there isn't any available at the Houston office.

Is there any tip on how to book one?

The Houston office is a mess!

Thanks for your help.

Houston does seem like one of the busier centers, for sure. I've never had to make an info pass, but other than that keep trying to book one,  and try at all hours of the day, even very late at night, just after midnight if you can. I'd also keep calling and asking for a Tier 2 Officer.

Hi Moose, I've made an infopass in Houston before. It's very tough finding an appt but if you continue to look at the beginning of everyday (i.e. Past midnight) you will find something. Alternatively, try contacting an L2 office on the customer service number....good luck to you. Please keep us posted.

Hi Moose81,

Cdneh and bebop21 are absolutely correct. I was just able to make an Infopass appointment right after midnight, at the Dallas Office, after trying for a long time. Appt. is for Aug 30.

I had my interview on July 3rd, no sign of Oath yet. Dallas Office is the slowest in the country.

I made 3 callback appointments with L2 Officers, they never called me back.

L1 Officers are telling me to wait 3 months........

Hi cdneh,

Would you kindly ask some Dallas Filers from August, September and October, 2016 to see if any of them have gotten an Oath Letter yet?

I have tried, but, didn't get any responses.

On Trackitt, some Dallas Filers have taken Oath, 5 months after their interviews.

Will greatly appreciate your help!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I will try to schedule an infopass as soon as I return back home.

I also noticed today that you can submit an appointment accommodation request online. Did anyone have any luck with this before?

I would also get your senators involved, their offices fall over themselves to help, just ask them to look into it for you!
