3 weeks from interview and Still no visa!!!

Hello, does anyone know how long it takes to get a interview in Kingston Jamaica, I have a case complete with NVC for 9/27. How long before you think I should get a interview? I am a us Citizen so I don't have a priority date, does this make me get a interview date faster?

And does case in query mean case complete st NVC?

My fiancé and I never heard back from the embassy. After about two weeks NVC said to email the embassy. We got a reply from them within 24 hrs with instructions on how to schedule the interview. When I booked the interview there were spots available within days. But keep in mind depending on the type of visa applying for there's documents that have to be gathered before hand. We are doing a K1 and ended up scheduling the interview 11 days later (medical is required to be completed 10 days prior to interview). It was tight and we had to expedite all documents to get them in time but he got them all!

Now if only we could get the passport back ???

Did you get the passport/visa back? It's been almost a month that I've been waiting and my status hasn't even gone to AP. It is still in "Ready"

No we still haven't gott it back in Friday 9/23 the embassy emailed us and told us it was in the last phase and to allow 5 more business days which would have been 9/30 but with the hurricane the embassy has been closed. Today is the first day they've been open this week.

His visa finally issued today! Interview was on 9/1. How to just get the passport in hand.

We are in the same boat. the visa status at ceca kept updates from the same day of interview 25th, 27th and 30th to 'READY' consecutively then on OCT 31st the creation date and update both of them changed to OCT 31st then to 'ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING' and the status visa went from immigrant to nonimmigrant. Since then there is no update.

They called me yesterday on the phone to go back to the embassy on another interview and today I went and they issued my visa on hand:) There were like 20 people with the same yellow 221g slip as mine and they were all issued so dont worry guys all of you will be issued soon its just a waiting game.

ur more than welcome we are keep praying. well as I have seen my research of this thread sometimes the delay due to backlog at the embassy beside that the us election took a place before last so the capital was busy too! thnx for your support a safe journey
