Beginning October 1, 2016, St. Luke’s Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLEC), the Embassy’s accredited panel physician,


will begin charging a new medical examination fee of Php 16,042.50 for most immigrant visa applicants.

8-03-16 - NVC case number assigned

8-09-16 – Consulate received

8-24-16 – Interview date @ USEM - Approved!

9-16-16 - CFO completed in Cebu

9-22-16 - P.O.E. Boston, MA

10-08-16 - Wedding!

10-29-16 - Submitted AOS with EAD/AP applications

11-02-16 - AOS package delivered to USCIS Chicago lockbox

11-16-16 - NOA1 Text message with receipt numbers

11-21-16 - Received NOA1 Hard Copies
12-05-16 - Biometrics

02-14-17 - Received EAD/AP Combo card

04-24-17 - Received notification of AOS approval w/o interview

04-27-17 - Received hard copy of AOS approval

05-03-17 - Received Green card

ROC

04-08-19 - Submitted ROC Form I-751 

04-26-19 - Received I-797 NOA Hard copy

05-17-19 - Received I-797C NOA Biometrics Appt.

Yeah that is a huge increase, especially for the reason they stated.... luckily, Annalyn just went through Medical this week. If folks have upcoming interviews and are on Luzon, or have the means to get to Manila, it is definitely worth going before October 1st. Anna stated that St. Luke's was not too crowded when she was there Tuesday and she did not go in until after 7 AM and was done around the same time as others that had lined up as early 5 AM.

On the first day of her medical, Chinook slept in and then had a leisurely breakfast. She wandered into St. Lukes at 10:30 and was out by 3:30.

Chinook never enjoyed falling in line, especially early in the morning, and extra-especially when it was unnecessary.

Wow. I was having a hard enough time scraping up enough money for all the NVC fees and was starting to plan ahead for the medical exam fees and now this happens. Guess I'll be living at work the next couple months. Anyone know what the fee increase is for children? I need to pay for my wife and step son.

Edit: I just read at the link posted above that children's fees will not go up.

I've already booked accommodation and airfare for me and my three boys. :( sad to say rebooking fee is like purchasing a new ticket as we are coming from the province :/
