You keep asking what to do so I'll repeat my initial post:

"Yes, withdraw the petition in writing and head to your local USCIS office as well. Call them on the phone too. Then file for divorce/annulment. If he is still in his country I believe he will be turned back if he tries to enter (not 100% sure about this). If he already back in the US, do not give him any clue of what you are about to do. Many false VAWA claims are started when the foreign spouse fears that things won't go their way or the US spouse is on to their tricks and they claim "abuse" ruining the reputation and future of the US citizen.

Even if you are not sure that he has a family abroad, just the fact that you have questions and a negative gut feeling is enough IMHO to stop the AOS. To me the marriage is already tainted."

Pay particular attention to the emboldened parts.

Did you call, write, or walk in to withdraw the petition yet? Please note that the "closure" you seem to be seeking may come in the form of a domestic violence charge on your record. Don't let that happen to you.

Where do I keep asking what to do? I have been responding to other's posts. I understand and acknowledge everything that has been said with the exception of the professionally offended comment about my saying that I assumed all domestic violence should not reflect that a bigger person cannot not be a victim of such. As in typical forums (this one is no different and how silly of me) is no different before you turn on the OP and start behaving like ####### (some of you). I do not owe any of your an explanation of what I have decided. I simply wanted to know that outcome of a withdrawn petition. This is where I will bid you a good bye and thank you to those of you that were kind and factual. Consider this post closed. PEACE

I do not keep asking what to do so I really don't know what you are referring to. To those of you that were nice and helpful - THANK YOU....To those of your that have not been....Glad I don't have to deal with you on a daily basis. .I don't owe anyone and explanation or detailed plan of what my next steps are. I simply wanted to know what the outcome would be if I withdrew my petition. Consider this post closed. Bye Bye.....
