It's two for each form - so if you filed all three - you'll definetively get an RFE. Remember that AP+EAD are adjudicated separately from the AOS, hence the need for separate photos and documents.

Would you mind updating your timeline when you get the chance? It's helpful to the VJ community.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

They won't definitely get an RFE. They are rare. Where are all these RFEs for passport photos? Perhaps I have overlooked them. Many people make the mistake, or choose to only send the 2 with the I-485 and never get an RFE.

Oh really, link to users/threads for that please? Sounds strange to not get an RFE for a vital part of the application packet.

I don't have time for an extensive search for every post I have seen about this over the last 5 or 6 years, but I am sure you could search VJ for threads about how many passport photos to send for AOS and find many posts where people state they only sent 2. Here is one thread with several people that state they only sent 2 and were fine > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/475818-sent-only-one-set-of-passport-photos-with-aoseadap/

I only recall one RFE for the passport photos, and that was 5 or 6 years ago. Of course I do not read through every AOS monthly progress report thread, so there might be others buried somewhere. I have just not noticed anyone posting about an RFE for passport photos in the main AOS forum. You said people would definitely get an RFE, so I thought perhaps you had insight on the matter and had seen postings of RFEs for passport photos that I have not seen.

Very interesting, learning something new every day. Wish they would change their guidelines then though, people could save some change for the bus.

I sent 2 photos and didn't receive an RFE. The photo they used on my EAD combo card is the one they took during the biometrics appointment.
