Hello.. I am almost finished with all the information for the i129 form. Are there any tips for organizing this huge packet? Any info you can provide for how you did it and what works the best. I know the website has a guide and I'm using that, but I just wanted to ask others that habe done this for any tips that help out later down the road. Thanks

We just made sure that the pages in the package came in the same order as on the cover letter. All proof like chat logs, tickets, boarding passes and such we put in an envelope by itself, I think that's the only thing we did a little differently. The rest of the documents were just in one bunch, separated only by paperclips, in the same order as on the cover letter.

I did as Scandi says except I gave each "bullet" on the cover letter it´s own front page on that particular section, with the same bullet number and a large text saying the same as the bullet point. That way it is easily devidable sections. Each section got a paper clip and the whole bunch got one of those bigger document file clips.

Some sections on the cover letter had "sub-sections" such as the i-129f itself with the attachment to the question of how we met and the proof of meeting.

I didn't put the proof of meeting in a separate envelope I simply made a sub-section with it's own cover letter (added after that sections front page).

Cover letter lay out:

1) XXXXXXXXXXX

a) xxxxxxxxx

b) xxxxxxxxx

2) XXXXXXXXXXX

3) XXXXXXXXXXX

4) Proof of meeting in the last 2 years

5) XXXXXXXXXXX

a) xxxxxxxxx

b) xxxxxxxxx

etc.

so each of those sections got a front section page.... and after the front page of the bullet for proof of having met, as I said, I added another cover letter for that section. That letter sort of had like a "storyline", for example: After this and that we decided to meet...On that and that date we met on that location see attached:

1) copy of xxx's airline ticket and boarding pass

2) hotel receipt

and so on...

Be sure to use the correct form:

I-129 = Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker

I-129F = Petition for K1 Foreign Fiance(e)

We just used tabs with letters that corresponded to the list on our cover letter. Good luck.
