Hello,

One quick question my friend wants to bring his fiancee to the US (K1) he has a child with her. Should he add his son to the k1 application and if so should he include birth certificate?

thank you for your time in reading this,

Emily

He needs to file for CRBA to get the child a US passport, as US citizens cannot get visas to enter the USA. The K1 for the fiance will not be approved until that is done.

Consequently, the child will not need a visa, but will need to be counted in the household for affadavit of support purposes.

The child would be a USC and not need a visa. Have they filed for a CRBA to get the child a US passport?

My friend actually became a US citizen recently after his son was born is this still possible?

hello,
My friend became a naturalized citizen he wants to bring his fiancee and their child to the USA. Can the child be included in the k1 application or does the child need to file another kind of form? (child was born before my friend became a naturalized citizen)
