Mine says 3 weeks too. These might be the same people who printed over 8400 cards with wrong dates printed these letters. It might be a typo. I wouldn't be surprised if it took 30 weeks.

I'm not sure it will be the same people. They're asking us to return them to Vermont, possibly the Potomac Service Center where my I-90 went to. I think the incorrect cards came from Kentucky?

I just picked the letter up from my mailbox, and it's the same letter that you received - Advising me that there is an error on my GC. As I have already sent my GC back to USCIS, I have emailed them at the email provided to inform them of this. The letter does state a 3 week turn around, so I'm hoping that they will now be able to process mine with everyone else's, and we should have the new GC's in hand in a few weeks! :)

I just emailed them too and attached a copy of the front and back of my card. I told them who I was instructed to return it to and told them the date of delivery. I wonder if they will follow up on it.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

I did the same, and also attached a copy of my letter and the GC that I returned to them. I think they will link them, and we may even be at the front of the line for the new GC, as they don't have to wait for our cards to be returned. It is already on the states that mine was received and destroyed by USCIS. That's what I'm hoping anyway 👍

I hope so, it's been a niggling anxiety at the back of my mind since this all came to light. On the one hand, I'm glad I passed the requirements to remove conditions but on the other I keep imagining the worst case scenario: I try and get a stamp later in the year so I can renew my license and they tell me to file an I-90 for a lost card :dead:

Don't worry. I had to go get a stamp yesterday, and the officer understood the error, and had no issue giving me the 12 month stamp 👍 If you need one, go get one 😊 and hopefully in a few weeks, you'll have your new GC in hand anyway 👍

Finally, USCIS is admitting openly about this error, hmm..how shameful.  It's everywhere on the news.  8K+!!!  WOW!!!  Somebody had been sleeping in the job ha! :D.  When errors were happening, what were these people looking at and how come no one noticed?? Seems like some of the people needs to be fired for the mishap.  But still, it is nothing new.  It happens every year.  Waste of resources at their end and waste of time at ours and I might sue them for my white hair hahahaha.  Anyways, without further adieu, I mailed the GC and copy of the letter today, Here begins again the "Game of Throwns"  Good luck to all.

I got a response to my service request. They definitely have my card and they've yet to determine if I qualify for an expedite... I sure hope I do since it's not my error and there's a freakin' nationwide recall

I received a generic response to my email to the 'Eastern Forms Center" this morning. It basically said the same thing as the letter I received in the mail - Nothing specifically acknowledging my email or my circumstances. I'm thinking that I might submit a new SR, asking them to verify that they do understand that my typo error is a part of the recall, and that my replacement card will be resolved in the same timeframe. I'm concerned that as I've already returned my card to the CA address that they gave me weeks ago, that my file is once again sat in limbo, and could take another year to get to 🙄 I really hope not.

I haven't had a response from the Eastern Forms Center yet. I'm thinking I will send a letter to Potomac and tell them to kill the I-90. Surprised it's not dead already, I didn't go to the biometrics and that's supposed to automatically abandon the case.

I actually just created a SR online for 'Card not received' and noted the details in the comments. It looks as though they are aiming to have replacement cards for the recall out within 3 weeks - I definitely felt like my case would be overlooked, given that I returned the card to a CA address provided weeks ago - So I'm hoping that the SR will prompt someone to go into my file, and make sure that if it's not currently being processed as part of the recall, that they will transfer it, so that it does. Fingers crossed!

I filed it online but there's no way to withdraw it online. I have to send a letter to Potomac and tell them to kill it.

There was someone from years ago who had to send their card to the attention of WS13386 who got their card back after just over a month, so maybe we will too. Guess the director has more on their desk than our cards :P

Hey guys, see, I had the stamp in the passport which was from when our I-751 was pending and it was to expire in October.  And we got the incorrect Permanent GC and to correct it, we again had to do biometrics.  On that day, I also asked them about my stamp and the officer put a "NOT VALID" sign on the stamp.  Now, my question is Can I still get a new infopass because our "Corrected Card" is pending at the moment?
