I went to my infopass appointment. She didn't stamp my passport and said that the extension letter extends the status for 1 year from the expiration date on the green card. She also told me that it may take 2-3 years for I-751 cases to be processed :(

She's bullshitting you about 2-3 years because of her ignorance or just wanted to show her power as many do over there because they are unhappy being a part of the system and can't change their life. Of course there ARE such long-pending cases but it's uncommon and rare. As to stamp, when did you GC expired?

Hi All, My GC extension expires on 10/18/17. I went to info pass today and said that I needed I551 stamp. The officer is very nice and she just stamped on my passport without any questions. The expiration date a year from now (7/28/2018). She said as long as my case is still pending, I can keep coming back to get more stamp after. She mentioned that some i751 process can take years.

Also, I submitted my N400 application online this week so hopefully that will adjudicate my I751.

Good luck to everyone!

This isn't much of an update as I'm sure everyone is aware, however my wife spoke with someone at USCIS this morning (11am CST) and they told her CSC is still working on cases from June 2016.  Just wanted to pass it along.

I don't agree we'll start seeing approvals in Nov/Dec. I have a feeling it's starting this month then rolling into Sept. Those processing times on their website, I don't believe they are accurate or indicative of the cases they are "truly" working on.

The 30 day window to obtain an InfoPass appointment and I-551 stamp opens up for me in 11 days.

Any tips for the InfoPass appointment? I read in other threads that we need to get on the USCIS website right after midnight and try to book an appointment around that time. Is this for real? Also, what should I bring to the USCIS office?

Check my timeline for K-1 visa & AOS details

I just made an InfoPass appointment online yesterday in the middle of the day. It did look like most of them were blocked out but there was one that was available in a week and a half so I booked it. It's sooner than 30 days before expiry, but my husband is likely going to travel internationally due to a major illness in his family and we're not sure when. I hope and assume they'll give the stamp and it won't be an issue. I'll let you all know!
