I based my observations after reading the Effect forum for so many years.

What I said " fat, old, poor, ugly ..etc USC", I lifted from one of the fraud accusation threads which are the words that original poster was told by his young macho martial art foreign spouse.

People that married the fat old poor ugly USCs are not gold digger because there is no gold to dig in the first place!

They just want the green card and then leave.

Then the USCs left wondering what is wrong.

Why is it in poor taste? I am just stating truth here, no sugar coating, not being political correct.

I normally bite my tongue when I see threads in upper forum which are potentially train wreck in the making.

-> Over the time, I realize You just can't fix stupid.

If you guys do not fit in the "fat old poor ugly, spouse married for green card only" general profile, why get your panties in a bunch, be so defensive and butt hurt?

Sure people get married for all kinds of reasons.. but some people motives are less honorable.

Have you seen or even heard about the 90 day fiance show -> Danielle and Mohammad couple?

You really think Oh, they are one cute perfect couple?

On the other side of the coin, sometimes I feel pity for those poor foreign spouses coming to USA, get the shock of life that their USCs are not what they have painted to be. Some USCs just want to make them a slave, control them, abuse them, do not want to or no money to file papers for them.

Lastly, I did not hint that Marvin is old, fat and ugly. Certainly not judging from his profile picture.

Have you seen this season premiere yet. The have some very fat women going after foreigners, it's not just men.

There is a girl from Atlanta that might just be one of the sexist women I have seen in a while bringing over a guy from the Dominican Republic.

Also a guy that runs a weed retail business that is bringing over a hot rub chick. She is already making his life miserable and demanding expensive gifts.

The did a follow up on Mohammed this week. He has split the scene

I never said anything about Trump, you brought him up. I was just pointing out that by your post, you make it sound like anyone who doesn't like Hillary feels that way because she's a she. Just like you often say folks who don't like Obama are racist. Both concepts are incorrect, of course, but it's the way you (and others here) like to play the game. And it's wrong.

And if you go back and re-read what I said, I don't believe I attacked you guys at all. I thought what Merrytooth said was in poor taste on this site, a site designed to help people unite legally. People get married for all kinds of reasons, and not all of them are bad. Not everyone is a gold digger. Gold digging exists in same-race and same-country marriages, as well. THAT is what I was pointing out. I made a comment to Merrytooth, and several others responded against me. I was actually defending the folks who are doing it the right way for the right reasons, if you pay attention to my words. I know how you met your spouses. And I wasn't saying saying you did anything wrong, but Merrytooth was alluding that Sue only picked you for a GC, in spite of the fact that you are old, fat, and ugly. THAT'S what I thought was wrong.

And as for the money reference you made, my wife also didn't need me for my money; she had more than I did when we were married. But she DID want someone whom she thought would be successful and be able to take care of her. That was the generalization I was trying to make. They want love and security. Often, a measure of a man's success revolves around his wallet, unfortunately. But that's the way it is, eh?

Then explain it to me. Why does it turn your stomach when you think about electing her? Because Trump, the man you're voting for, is just as(IMO dirtier) than Clinton. Ties to the mob? Multiple bankruptcies? Discrimination lawsuits? A university that scammed thousands of Americans out of their hard earned money? NB made a comment about her enabling Bill and how awful that was. She's such a monster. Your candidate has been accused of rape. Multiple times. Some were minors. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. We not even talking about his wife. You know? The one who, in order, might have come and worked on a tourist visa, took nude pics while doing said work, and might have been an escort at some point(allegedly). There's a reason why you haven't seen her lately. If any other candidate was married to her, they couldn't be a politician. But Trump once again gets a pass.

So it's not that we say if you don't like them you're racist/sexist. But let's be very clear about this. When one make comments about Obama like chimp, monkey, or tar baby, yeah it's racist. But in Clinton's case, how is it possible to cite a moral indignation about voting for Hillary when Trump has been proven time and time again that he's not fit to lead? And it's very telling how Clinton's every move is judged while Trump gets to literally insult/bully his way into the WH and no one seems to care. If Clinton had one incident where someone was beaten up, spit on, or anything at her rallies, her campaign would have been ended. Trump has had several, and it's been excused, over and over again. So tell me why Clinton is held to an impossible standard as a politician, but Trump is not held to any standard at all?

I wasn't worried about Merrytooth's comment. You know why? Because I knew it didn't apply to me. As adults, we all know that it happens. Let's be real. We all know the ones who've been through it. IRL and in the effects forum. I took it as a joke since I've seen it happen. And there are some scammers out there that do this. But you and NB seemed to take it personal. Like it was aimed at you or something. That's what I don't get. Because Janelle and I have had to come here and hear about how bad we are as a race of people forever. There isn't a day that goes by where black people AREN"T a topic of discussion, but we tend to take it in stride(somewhat). And we've had some folks tell us we're the problem.

There's a difference between being successful and being able to take care of someone. But your last point is mostly true.

Well that was interesting. A topic between people expressing their strong opinions even when they know nothing about what's truly going on in the Philippines turned into an argument insulting American men who prefer women from foreign countries and attacking their physical appearance in the process. huh.. that was, well, low if i may say so.

I admire President Obama and his wife Michelle. The first couple are people who are gifted with diplomacy and no prejudice, etc. I am not going to delve into the details of my unwarranted opinion. I would agree though that Duterte shouldn't be reckless like that knowing that the media is just in one corner waiting for him to make a mistake and exaggerate their reports to make the President look bad to other countries. Plus that could ruin the chances of Filipinos getting a visa to go to the US. Thankfully, Obama did not take the cursing personally and at the end of the day, both leaders shook hands; Duterte earned Obama's respect and support.

First of all, he did not directly curse Obama. He cursed as a way of expressing himself the way other filipino would when exasperated. When i drop the fork or I slip I say "putang ina", but i am not directing it to anybody else nor the people who have witnessed my clumsiness. Sure, "putang ina" is literally translated as son of a b**** but the way he said it, it was not meant in a literal manner. It was equivalent to saying #### that! Filipinos swear a lot, but you'll know when you're being sweared at because we'll be very specific by saying your name in the same sentence along with finger pointing.

Secondly, I presume none of these people who say what he is doing is wrong have lived in the Philippines for at least hmm let's say 2 decades of their lives? No? Ok sit down. Yes, I agree that killing is wrong. It's never right whatever angle you look at it. Then again, it's not like they didn't get a warning or anything. They've been warned, still the killing doesn't make it right. The thing about Filipinos are they are wise and resilient, but in certain cases they are dumb in a sense that they let their emotions get the best of them. They are slaves to their urges and their excessive need to be fulfilled emotionally despite the fact that they have so much potential to contribute to the success of the country, they'd rather escape their problems through drug abuse and alcoholism just like any other weak person does. Not saying that it's a dilemma exclusive in the Philippines, it's a universal problem - a sickness that people would rather opt to be inflicted with because it's easier to blame what they've become and their problems to the government and other people. Anyway, the previous President was beyond incompetent. He only favored the elite and gave no fck about what happens to the people drowning in poverty. A poor girl got raped, did nothing about. Street children dying in the arms of syndicates, did nothing about it. Foreigners particularly Americans get beaten up, robbed and killed for no reason, he never even gave a fck about that either. Soldiers died in the war, the whole country was mourning while he was in having fun in a gala popping champagnes with the rich people. The Philippines was already poor, but all the Noynoy Aquino did was party with his elite friends, womanizing and buying his women expensive designer clothes and playing video games inside the Malacañang Palace. His happy-go-lucky nature gave druglords time to plant their protectors in the senate, the congress, in police authorities and every government official leading their own cities. Everything happened under his nose and all he could say is it is the fault of the Filipino people. SURE, it's our fault.

I have no good reason to defend the extra judicial killings, but these people have a chance to surrender and heal from the disease that is drug addiction before they get way too deep into the sh*t they've put themselves into. All you see are the killings, but if these people really wanted to live - they should've taken the warning seriously, helped themselves get back up from hitting rock bottom and snap back to reality. Take control of their lives, heal, take responsibility of their shortcomings and be an adult. These people get themselves into that mess because they hate their lives, they could have changed it but the previous president didn't really do anything to open up opportunities of employment for the people who really do need it. This still is not right, to kill is never right but heck it's about time somebody did something about it! The killings should be a wake up call for people. If they don't want to die, they can always surrender and the President has prepared a rehabilitation program for them to join Zumba exercises and if they don't attend - police come knocking to their houses and invite them to join the class again. So it's not like there's a better option for these rascals, they have but all you want to react to is the negative side of things. While I do respect and admire President Obama, I don't think leaders of any other country should question how Duterte runs his. We don't question him how he runs America because we respect him even when most of his own people talk sh*t about his administration. Duterte wants equality for his people, no poor or rich - everyone is to be treated the same regardless of how much money you have in the bank. You aren't getting any exceptions. He wants change for his people, and change is what he will give them.

Thirdly, there are people who hate Duterte, sure. That doesn't really matter though because he already won the position and he is doing his job as a public servant. He recognizes that the Filipino people deserve the best service a President should give them because the Filipino people are his boss as opposed to other candidates who run for office because they are just hungry for power. They use their position as a means to manipulate people and turning the country around for their own personal gain rather than the benefit of the people living in it. You are free to air your opinion and point of view about our people and our President, but that doesn't make it true or valid especially if you have never experienced the suffering of Filipinos. Sure you suffer here in your own country, but that is no match for the hardships that Filipinos deal with everyday and despite that they still manage to paint smiles in their faces and other people.

Lastly, not every Filipino looking for an American is a gold digger. I feel sorry for others who have fallen victims to gold digging women overseas due to their desperation to find someone who could treat them right because they can't find it in their own country. It's not about finding some young hot foreigner who want the USC's $. Sometimes when we get older, we just develop our own preferences, a type. Whether it be a certain race, personality, IQ or mindset, body type, attractive or not, it all boils down to one thing - A TYPE. you can't force your heart to settle for your neighbor because it's convenient. You look elsewhere because you believe the person that is perfect for you might be on the other side of the world. Not saying that the young foreign woman-old American man affair does not exist nor the tragic love affair developed between a young foreign woman and an old american man's wallet. It happens, there are people who do that but not everyone. And why were these women looking to extort men online? Because of our poor country and the lack of opportunity for them to find a job where they could thrive. There are educated women in the Philippines who prefer Americans because American men are supportive with our passion and career, they believe in us and they push us to become better version of ourselves as opposed to some clingy Filipino men who impregnate the woman to lock them down as if building a family is everyone's ultimate goal in life. Clingy and inconsiderate filipino men who hold women down and make career decisions for their women, refusing to give them a chance to make something of themselves because they do not want to be left behind while they never think twice of leaving their own lovers and wives the moment they see an opportunity to work away from their familes or as soon as the next attractive girl opens her legs for a night of pleasure.

That being said, we chose Duterte as our President because we do not want our future generations to be subjected into this kind of lifestyle. Filipinos have become smarter in choosing Duterte. Media erroneously comparing him to Trump are way off base. Yes they both speak their mind, so they are similar in a way. But in terms of experience in improving a city to offer better lives for their people, years of implementing legislations as a prosecutor and a public official. He knows the law, he knows what he is doing and if their comes a time that he has to defend himself, He can and he will. Trump? He has points, but what can his experience in running beauty pageants and creating reality shows do for his people? Okay, maybe i am out of line here but I am genuinely wondering.

The bottomline is, we chose a President who is perceived as a monster by people who are about to be proven wrong. People who only despise his potty mouth, but behind that is a man with true compassion for the poor and who dreams a better life for Filipinos rather than appoint a formal candidate with tact, but behind that tact and political correctness is a monster who lure people with promises and sweet talk til they fall into their trap and there's no way out unless their term is finished. Just saying.

I based my observations after reading the Effect forum for so many years.

Why is it in poor taste? I am just stating truth here, no sugar coating, not being political correct.

I normally bite my tongue when I see threads in upper forum which are potentially train wreck in the making.

If you guys do not fit in the "fat old poor ugly, spouse married for green card only" general profile, why get your panties in a bunch, be so defensive and butt hurt?

Have you seen or even heard about the 90 day fiance show -> Danielle and Mohammad couple?

You really think Oh, they are one cute perfect couple?

Great situation where you were correct without being nasty about the truth. I wouldn't call what you said not being politically correct, you told the truth in a direct and not indirect way.

And no, Marvin's not fat. I see him IRL!???? I know you didn't imply this. I don't b understand why people are so hurt by this thread and your comments if they don't apply to them.

What's so funny about this? Merry didn't say ANYTHING about the PI. The comment was a broad statement that we've all seen happen time and time again from women in various countries. But for some odd reason, men married to women from the PI are in here trying to defend themselves when no one was attacking them in the first place.
