Hi Guys,

After we submitted the DS-260 online visa application, can we edit it to update some personal information, should be this like a red-flag to the NVC, or it's fine to correct submitted information.

I have been rejected a student visa previously Should this be an issue with our current file with the NVC.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Once you submit the ds-260 you cannot change it. However if you answered a question wrong be sure to bring it up at interview.

Thanks @Nick for your response.

But I read on the NVC center website that if you want to correct something on your ds-260 you have to call the agents at the NVC.

The problem is that I'm afraid to submit change then they will send us a ROE.

whats an roe? You dont get a checklist for the answers in the DS-260. If you messed up, tell the interviewer. If its a big mess up, tell them asap!

Changing something will not be a red flag. If it is something very important or serious then call NVC if you insist on having it changed. If your case is already closed it is not likely NVC can help you and you will just have to bring it up at the interview.

To address our other question of being denied a student visa and it affecting your efforts now. It shouldn't. My husband had applied for a tourist visa and was denied in 2013. It did not affect our CR1 visa being approved and was actually never brought up in the interview or anywhere else along the way. Good Luck ! :)

I made few mistakes in the ds 260 and I got case complete and already had appointment for interview .. The only good thing is, I heard they correct every mistake at the interview and make sure to let them know if they didn't bring it up .and good luck
