I had to take the 3-day sputum exam and was told to call on September 7 for the result. Unfortunately, I had a call today from Slec telling me to call on September 14 instead. Does that mean my results are positive?

No. It means they are behind and you need to delay your time till the 14th when they will have your results.

may I know why you need to do the sputum exam?

It's because she may have a specious spot on her xrays and the next step is the sputum test to determine if she has TB.

I am in the medical exam stage in the next succeeding week. I am a nurse working in the community, I really don't know how to calm myself regarding my medical. I am very exposed to tb clients since we are the one identifying and giving treatment to them. I am afraid I might acquire the disease too, God pls not. That's why I asked you if you have any history, a scar will developed once you had the disease before. they are going to do the sputum exam to be able to determine if ithe scar is active or not. I did 3 series of xrays this year since it is needed in my employment. the last one is after having a bad cough and asthma. its all normal. I hope in my upcoming medical everything will be ok.
