Hello,

What exactly is the requirement for translation of Birth Certificate?

Do all the line items that for example are written in Spanish the header, the categories titles, need to be translated?

Is there anywhere I can see an example of both the version in Spanish and the translated version?

Any help and advice is grateful.

When having documents translated, USCIS has a guideline for the certification format: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

One of my friends here happened to be looking up the info on translating documents since he translated their spanish language docs for AOS. He found that you do NOT have to translate word for word but rather only the important (relevant) parts of the documents. He sent me a sample template he used. I'll look for the message and I can send it to you shortly.

My husband translated his own. He tried to stick to the layout of the original as much as he could and translated everything, making it look as close to the original as possible in a word doc.

Same. Except that I translated my husband's. I probably went overboard because I went as far as translating the little stamps that they have in the corner because I did not want to get an RFE for a incomplete translated document. I made the layout of the translation the same so they could hold it side by side and what not
