New job, how long before I could file k1?

I'm in college and right now I'm going to find part-time work because I live with my mom who only makes 18k a year, so it's not enough to support him with the guidelines of 25,000 a year in minimum income requirements. I was wondering how long I should wait or how long do I wait after working before I can file for the k1?

I seen this on rapidvisa...

"You may use the income of your spouse and/or any other relatives living in your residence if they are willing to be jointly responsible with you for the intending immigrants you are sponsoring. If you have any unrelated dependents listed on your income tax return you may include their income regardless of where they reside. The income of such household members and dependents can be used to help you meet the income requirements if they complete and sign Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member, and if they are at least 18 years of age when they sign the form."

My mom is willing... but now I just need to supplement our income so that I don't fall under the poverty guidelines. I'm just not sure how long I'd have to work before I can actually petition the k1? Does anyone have any info to give me?

If you just got a new job, I would wait perhaps 2-3 months before petitioning your fiance, because you will need to have proof of income (i.e. pay stubs). By the way, the Affidavit of Support form that you will fill out will be the i-134 when you petition him, not the i-864 (that will be used for the Adjustment of Status). I am unsure if the Australian consulate accepts co-sponsors for K1 visas, but it wouldn't hurt to try. As long as you and your fiance have already met at least once in the past 2yrs, and can show proof of a bona fide relationship, you should be fine.

I seen somewhere that she has to automatically meet 125% of the minimum income guidelines... I'm confused about this? If we are both living together, is if both okay for us to fill out an i-134 form? He will be living with us.

I-864A is used in conjunction with an I-864, not an I-134.

For the i-134 you only need 100% of the poverty guideline; it's the i-864 where you need 125%. Since you need a co-sponsor, both you and your mom will fill out separate i-134 forms. Those original & signed forms must be brought to the interview by your fiance; don't send them with your petition.
