Ok we got the RFE it mentioned that we met online and forgot to mention the website in which we met and wasn't sure if it was a marriage broker despite us ticking it was not.

We don't have our accounts on the website POF anymore as we both deleted. I assume in this situation just reply with terms and conditions of the site and a cover letter stating the evidence provided and how it proves the website is not a marriage broker.

Hey just wondering when you receive the Approved petition letter what is the next step for me the petitioner?

Do I receive a letter stating it has been sent to the embassy in the UK or does my UKC fiancee receive a letter stating he has 4 months to take a interview and medical?

What gap between medical and interview should he leave so the paperwork from medical gets processed and received at the embassy in time for his interview?

Many thanks

Most of your work after the approved petition is done, its mostly on the shoulders of your fiance now!

You can either wait for the NVC to send you a letter with your LND case number, or you can do what most of us do and start calling them 2 to 3 weeks after your approval notice to request the LND number over the phone.

Once the London Embassy receives your case from the NVC they will send a letter to your fiance. It took Jon about 3 days after CEAC showed "ready" for him to receive the letter. It was just a short letter with instructions on next steps which can all be found here!

You must leave at least 5 business days between your medical and your interview to make sure that the embassy has time to receive the results. They won't deny you for not having received the results, however they can delay your petition until the receive them so its best to just schedule them far enough apart.

Thank you is there any advantage to knowing the LND number before my fiance receives his letter?

Another thing that is playing on my mind is how much do savings play a role in the I-134 in terms of the embassy being satisfied?

My position meets the poverty guidelines for a household of 2 and I am about to receive a promotion which will raise my annual salary. Though I am paying student loans, bills etc and my savings are under 1k unfortunately!

Because you may never receive the letter.

Things happen you know, and the NVC is notorious for not sending them at all or many many months after the fact. Or you could get five duplicates in a day. Whatever suits them at the time. :P

If you meet enough in salary then there is no need to fill in anything regarding savings.

Hi is it not mandatory though?

In question 7 on the I-134 it asks for deposits in savings banks in the US?

No it is not. If it's not applicable to your case then it doesn't matter. UK doesn't need a ton of info, if you make enough at work, then an I-134 with the applicable parts filled out, an employer letter, or a tax transcript will be sufficient. You'll see on the example form for the I-134 on VJ that the applicant uses their salary + real estate and leaves the rest blank. But if you have no real savings or assets, it's not a requirement for London standards if you're going on salary.

Thanks again it has been more than 3 weeks since NOA2.

Online it just mentions it will be forwarded to the relevant NVC Center

So should I call the NVC center and ask for the LND number for my case?

Why do I need the LND number and what does it stand for?

The LND is the reference no assigned to your case when it is sent to the embassy in London, you need this to book your medical, complete the DS160 etc

I would call to get it but then I was a worrywort throughout this process

It means you are done with the US side of processing and heading for the home straight, make sure the beneficiary has everything ready, vaccinations complete, police certificate, birth certificate and the affidavit of support with evidence :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

If he gets the ACPO police certificate done how long is it to be valid for like if it is a month out from date of interview?

Just wondering if we file for that now and had in the interview in 2 months time if it would be considered "old"

I'm not sure exactly how long it's valid for, I vaguely remember something about 12 months but can't swear on it, I got mine in July and my interview was February so you should be fine though :)

The police certificate from ACRO is good for 12 months. It is recommended to get it as close as you can before your interview and medical, but they don't seem to have any issues with you receiving it 2 to 3 months out. Many others have gotten their certificates early and have had no issues.

Just another update

I received a letter from USCIS stating that the NVC has received the I-129F petition and is forwarding to the London embassy, it also says this can take up to several weeks.

It states the LND Case number!

Can my fiance use this number and call to schedule a medical or should he wait until he receives the letter from the embassy?

How booked up do people find the Knightsbridge doctors are for medicals, is there any luck in getting one a few weeks out.

He can book the medical, do the DS160 & notification of readiness with the LND, I believe he won't be able to book his interview until the file arrives in London (but someone who has used the new booking system will be able to advise better than me)

There are usually plenty of appointments available for the medical so he should be able to schedule one for whenever he wants.

Congratulations :)

Medical scheduled, notification of readiness and DS160 all completed.

Went to schedule the visa interview but our relevant option states

"I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment"

So can anyone shed some light on this? The CEAC website says ready and can schedule interview?
