My husband and I are beginning the process of applying to remove the conditions on his 2 year Green Card for the 10 year Green Card. Since we have been married we have moved out of my parents and bought a house down the street. However, amidst all of the chaos, I never thought to change our address with USCIS, is that going to be a problem now? All of our evidence has our new address (Deed, Insurance, etc...). Should I include a letter to explain the situation or should I change his address? If so, what form do I use? I found the I-865 form to change the Sponsor's Address, is that me? Thanks for all of the help, don't know what we would do without Visa Journey!

hi

just put the new address on the form, nothing will happen, just as long as the removal of condition process has your current address, then you won't have a problem

Aleful, both the petitioner AND the sponsor must file Change of Address with USCIS. AR-11 is used for the petitioner. I-865 is used for the sponsor.

OP - file both of these immediately. (AR-11 was supposed to filed within 10 days after the move, I-865 within 30 days after the move.)

Get them filed before you do ROC, then don't say anything in your ROC submission.

Oh wow, just realized we didn't file a change of address for my partner (sponsor)! I thought only AR-11 for myself was needed.

Pity that it seems I-865 cannot be done online. Oh well definitely going to get that done tomorrow! We have exactly 30 days until GC expires. Eek.

Thank you for saving our bacon!!
