We have finally received our interview date, but we live in the south of the country. Does anyone have experience with either the Dr. from São Paulo or Rio? We called the office in São Paulo and they said it could be done in one day and then the packet would be available 10 days later. The office in Rio said we should expect at least 3 days to get the tests and receive the packet.

Any advise or others experiences would be great.

If you're in the south, why not go to Belo Horizonte? I highly recommend seeing dra Juliana cancado. You can do the tests one day, see the doctor the other and you get out of there with the sealed envelope.

I went to the São Paulo doctor. It was easy and fast. However, they only accept the lab exams to be done in the Fleury lab, which is more expensive than other labs. They have an agreement with the lab, so your results go to the doctor's office. My package was ready in about a week. You can choose to pick it up or to be sent to the consulate for an extra fee.

Well, I'm from Cuririba and since I had to fly all the way to Rio de Janeiro for the interview was more sensate to me do everything in Rio. So I spent total of 7 days in Rio.

Arrived on a Tuesday and had all my exams done on Wednesday. Picked it up on Friday and took with me to the Interview on Tuesday. This way I didn't have to go to 2 cities since Cuririba doesn't have an official Doctor anymore.

Hi jukilalu

My beneficiary lives in jabora city, SC, are there doctors for RDJ's interview in the nearby cities? How about Florianapolis?

I need your help here because this is the first time my spouse has stayed in her country after serving as a nun outside brazil for 22 yrs. quite clueless:)

I am clueless, too, as it was my first time to see/visit Brazil ( in mar to june, 2016) and also, stayed in a very isolated and small city.

Would appreciate your help how to go about finding the nearest doctors/ facility to do the medical for RDJ.

thank you very much.

There are only four doctors in Brazil and they are located in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte e Brasília. The nearest doctor would be either the one in Belo Horizonte or Rio de Janeiro and the later might be best since she will have to go to rio anyway because of the interview. Google is your friend when planning this sort of thing as you haven't been there and are not familiar with the place (that's what I did).

Good luck
