Hi! Been a while since I posted here. Anyway, I would like to ask if you guys can recommned a reliable delivery service from Florida to Manila. I would prefer door to door because I have horror stories of my packages ending up in customs at the post office and the expensive fees they try to get from the reciepient ? I know we can use Fedex, UPS, but just want to see other options. Is LBC door to door? I'm not sure if they serve my are though (I am outside Tampa). It's a big box I am sending (mostly baby stuff).

Thanks everyone ?

Find a Filipino store and get a balikbayan box fir shipping to Phil. Box is usually $5. Take home and fill it up till you can't get anything more in the box. Don't worry about weight because your paying a flat rate of $100 for store to door delivery with no customs interaction. Address the bow and return it back to the Filipino store. They will take care of the rest. Usually takes 30 to 60 days to get to the recipient. But it does arrive with no extras. $105 total. ..Done!!

There is. We use the Filipino store that's on Capital Blvd and Old Buffalo Rd. Great people and they have a little restaurant with Filipino food. My wife loves going there. The restaurant only serves W-Sun/ Store is open 7 days a week.

They charge 5 bucks for the box and 100 dollars to ship anywhere in the Philippines.

I'm pretty sure DHL and LBC work together. When my fiancée sends me stuff LBC from the Philippines I get it delivered to my door in US via DHL. I'd use this only for small packages otherwise as you know it will be expensive otherwise. Greenbaum's option is an excellent one for large boxes and cheap!

Sorry but you DO NOT use the USPS for sending anything significant to the Philippines. That is because it may or may not get to the destination with or without everything that you packed in to it. I have used DHL sending things to the Philippines with no problem, but it is expensive. Now my wife uses LBC to send to the Philippines. They have a promotion going on where you can send up to 10 kilos for $40 and it will get there with in 10 days to Davao. We have used it twice and have had no problems using it.

This has been my experience too, at least in relation to documents. 100% of everything I tried to send through USPS did not get there. It was mostly cards and letters, nothing of significant financial loss. One was a card I had sent at Easter which was returned to me in the US about 4 months later after having never arrived at its destination in Cebu. It had been opened.

I am fortunate enough to live in an area where we have LBC w/ air cargo options as well. they always deliver directly to my fiance's home. If you contact them on chat, they will give you the local contact in the US for your area. Usually that person will pick up the very large heavy box at your home. 30-60 days later it is at it's destination. I have never had anything but good experiences with them.

Good Luck.
