i think you're letting the clear bias in the article dictate your analysis of what is actually occurring.

I don't know, when I see a group of relatively prominent politicians get together, all have a similar ideology, and they are proposing using force to stop an opposition viewpoint, that scares me. My wife has relayed to me the lack of freedom she had in the former Soviet Union, and I for one do not want to see any opposition speech squashed even it I don't agree with it. I realize that those of the same thinking as these politicians don't feel the same way since it is not their freedom of speech being targeted, but as is everything in government, it is a slippery slope. The article is certainly biased, but they did not make up the words the politicians spoke.

are there any specific words the 12 democrats spoke that you took issue with? this article doesn't even come out and say they forced anything upon anyone.

when it comes to climate change, how long are we going to argue back and forth over it's existence? why should the american people's tax dollars go to fund a think tank that insists on denying climate change exists when its existence has been established time and time again by the majority of actual professionals in the field. when do you draw the line at debating the existence of a problem and begin working toward solutions to the problem?
