Incorrect Date on ROC Reminder Notice (split)

Hello Everyone,

I hope I'm posting this question in the correct thread, the "General FAQ's for Removing Conditions" thread was locked in 2013.

I know that the I-751 application and guides on this forum say that the application should be filed "during the 90-day period before your CR expires".

My CR green card expires on 1/19/2017 which is still a long time away.

However, today I received a letter (attached) from USCIS saying that I entered the United States on 11/5/14. That is incorrect, I entered 1/19/2015.

On 11/4/2014 I had my visa approved at the consulate.

Has anyone else receive a similar letter with the date not reflecting actual entry in the US? Should I file within the 90-day window from 11/5/2016 or wait for 90-day window from 1/19/2017?

Thank you.

Did you pay for GC issuance on 11/5?

In any case, go by the date on your GC and not with what the reminder says.

Mmmm Im incredibly concerned about this.

This is not the first report of something like this. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/552371-incorrect-entry-date-on-letter-for-form-i-751/ But as you can see the card had incorrect info on it.

Are you 100% sure your card is correct?

if so I would recommend an infopass to verify what info they have on file for you. The letter would not or should not have been generated unless the system believes you are up for ROC. Do not ignore this. If you cant get to infopass at least call the phone center for a tier 2.

According to the date you said you entered you should file on 10/21/2016.

I agree with Damara.... we are seeing a lot of these letters show up. One couple filed early, in accordance to the letter, but we do not know if they were approved or not.
