I think the carrier tried to deliver but no one home, so took it back to the post office. Where they decided to return it

Usually they hold it for few days..

They returned it the same they they trued to deliver it. And you donmt nedd to be home in order to receive it; they just drop it in your mailbox, it is priority mail no signature required. So I don't know what the problem was because i still don't understand how I could see the package in  the USPS website scanned under my name but then undeliverable due to incorrect/incomplete address.

Not sure if you have to wait that long... I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer. They filed a service request and told me I will hear back by November 23... They also confirmed that no RFE or other communication has been sent to me, which is good to know...

So, funny story... as above, I did call earlier, and the officer did tell me that no communication was ever sent to me... EXCEPT once I got home I found an RFE in my mailbox. After 15+ months and a pound of evidence -- this is ridiculous. Ugh.

Why do we even bother phoning the misinformation line? They know NOTHING!

I guess, its because the evidences that you sent was more than a year already and they want the current ones. It sucks but it is what it is, few years ago the processing timeline of ROC is max to 6 months but this year is really horrible.

I agree with you, and agree that USCIS must do their due diligence....but if was just about aged evidence - absolutely everyone would be getting RFEs because of the crazy delays this year... I'm not as worried as I am annoyed...lol

LOL! indeed, I guess the IO that handles your case is too lazy to check your evidences but instead asked for new evidences. LOL!

My bro is a mail carrier. He told me it depends on the region. The last +4 digits are for zones. The same PO receives the mail regardless of the last +4 digits. So they deliver it.

Also if the zip is wrong they will try to identify the PO belong to the address and will forward to them.

Hi Guys, new to the forum, my NOA is 07/25/2016, Bio 10/13/2016, still waiting approval. Just Talked to Tier 2 officer with a bad attitude that just gave me a bunch of nonsense and told me that I  just gonna have to wait and that "there is a lot of people waiting with your situation". Totally useless and a complete waste of my time.

Seems there are two possibilities here:

1) Your carrier decided you needed to personally receive the letter, and when you weren't there, he/she started the process of returning it to sender.

2) USCIS typed the wrong address on the envelope.  This could happen even if they had used your correct address a dozen other times.  Each time is an independent event.

No, it is not giving you the option to see the address just my zip code which is correct.
