Hey everyone! I submitted my ROC paperwork in July 2016 and had my biometrics in August. My online account still says this:

 

"On August 9, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received"

 

Is that right? Will it stay like that until it switches to card production?

 

Also, I have to travel to Australia for work this September, which requires an Australian temporary work visa. I have to submit my green card to my boss to get me the visa... can I use my current expired green card but also submit the letter of extension? It will have expired by the time I travel though, so I guess I'll have to go get that stamp in my passport? :-/

Eventhough they say it is not impacted.. Looks like lot of files were moved from VSC to California service center.

The date "May 14th 2016" for CSC has not changed at least for 2-3 months now. Very frustrating !!!!

I honestly can be mad at them for doing that even though we are at the california service center it is not fair to make the people who had to file at the Vermont service center wait longer just because they lived in a different part of the us.

 

just hope they use some of the fee increases to get some extra people to speed up processing.

hey it's from november 2014 when work load was transferred. When u open the link u will see date all the way down.

There are so many things happening and this is really stressing me out!!!!!

 

1) My current consulting work in the firm I work got completed last week and I am currently looking for a job. I am hoping my new employers will be ok with the letter from USCIS that our conditional green card is expired and is under process for removal of conditions and good untill 10/2017. Do u guys agree that the letter from USCIS could be used as a Green Card?

 

2) I will be traveling to India this May for 2 weeks and will bring my parents with me for a vacation for a month. I am hoping I wont run in to any issues with Homeland security at POE. If I show them the letter from USCIS mentioning the 1 year extension do u guys think I should be good. I am from India which is not in the 7 country Ban list.

 

3) Not sure how long it is going to take to get July applications processed by USCIS. With May filers still waiting god knows how many more months it is going to take. Any updates there? MAY 14th is where the forms are stuck at this moments and its been like that for the last 3 months!!!! not even a single day progress has been made!!!

 

4) Without the removal of conditions getting approved, could we still apply for citizenship 90 days before the 3 year anniversary. Will we run in to any issues before getting the 10 years GC??

 PRAVI,

1. Your new employer would need your SSN not your GC. even in case your GC is needed, you are good with your extension letter as you are a Legal resident with a pending I-751

2. As you are not from those countries, you are good with your extension letter at POE

3. I am a June filer & still awaiting good news.. not sure how long more! I share your frustrations. But we have the option of getting a stamp in the passport to extend it further if in case it goes beyond the deadline.

4. Yes. even with a pending RoC, you can apply for citizenship. That will force them to decide on your I-751 as well

Honestly, I'm not sure if that's good or bad news for you. Vermont picked up last month and is processing a lot of march applications already, whereas CSC is immovable for 04 months now (pinned on may 14 since november/16), with only 2 (that's right, "two") known June filers approved so far.
