Hello,

I just re-read the checklist that the NVC sent us and it said that the below was required:

Evidence of Support (I-134) and photocopy of IRS transcript or photocopy of the most recent Federal income tax return.

I am wondering if the I-134 will suffice or if they do in fact need a copy of my tax return? I have completed the I-134, but haven't sent a copy of my tax return. I can send a copy of my tax return (I just realized that they may need it) but I am under a time crunch. Will this prevent or delay a Visa issuance?

Your advise is invaluable,

Thank you <3

hi

why did you send the affidavit of support?

the affidavit of support is submitted at the interview, and yes you need all the supporting evidence with the form, including tax transcripts, paystubs, letter from employer if you can

If you are the US citizen petitioner then yes, you will need a copy of your tax return- the last year for sure, three years to be on the safe side. You can probably have your foreign beneficiary bring it to interview though.

Downloading from IRS website takes just 10-15 minutes! You just have to go through a brief identity verification process via email or text message.
