you can't "just live with a man" in Morrocc

sex without marriage sends a man to Jail in that country

she really needs to know this culture

moroccan men do not marry a widow of divorced woman from their county

and a foreign woman living with a man unmarried

NO NO NO

or la la la meaning no in Arabic

So if they dont normally marry divorsea will they see this as fraud if they were to do a k1 or cr1? They meaning the CO at the time of interview??

CO's take the whole relationship evidence and decide if they feel it is bona fide or not, they do not automatically deny

just because the USC had a previous divorce.

We all know that some CO's do not do that and refuse to issue the visa and return the case and won't tell you

it is because of a previous divorce but return it with the blanket statement of not bona fide.

But it is not an automatic no.

In the case of the OP or her "friend" there are too many petitions and divorces in a short time and that won't fly,

especially not with a K1, it was not simply just one prior divorce.

Who is the father of the child? The child will be heavily affected by these constantly changing adults in the home. How old is the man she wants to marry? Moroccans who have never left home are really in for a shock when they come here. They really have no idea what it is like and they have no idea what it means to marry a woman with a child and a woman who is older. It is just a fantasy to them at this point.. Once they are here, reality strikes. I can tell you I know because I am experiencing it now. My husband loves me a lot and we trust each other, but I can tell you that it has been a big struggle dealing with the cultural differences especially relating to raising children. I think most men from there will not put up with the way children are raised here and our society as a whole. It is totally different from their expectations. It puts a lot of pressure on them when they come here to conform to this society. I don't think many can handle it. I also know that Moroccan society doesn't look favorably on couples like us who step outside their cultural norms. I will never imagine to live there in his community, as we were threatened to have the police called on us when I went to stay with him for the summer, by HIS FATHER. Where does she live? If she lives in a big city, he will adapt better here, but not in the midwest or a small town. She needs to know herself well first, because this relationship will test her to the limits and she will have to be strong and so will her child.

Going from one relationship to the next is a sign that this woman doesn't fully understand herself and her part in the failure of these relationships. It isn't that she is a bad person but that she might be too open and accepting and these men take advantage of her goodwill.

Another thing, Moroccans think that life is great here. They don't realize what they have in their country until they are here, the freedom from taxes, cheap prices for things, they can live very cheaply and much easier without any government involvement in their lives. They don't pay health insurance, they own their homes outright, they don't pay taxes on their income, their lives are smooth sailing compared to here and much more leisurely. And the food is way better tasting there. Plus they have their families there.

Once they come here, they will really feel the burden of all that this government takes from them and if he isn't highly qualified in something like computer programming, he will end up with a crappy job paying $10-12.00 per hour and they will take out his taxes, he will need to pay his living expenses, health insurance, etc. Maybe his family thinks he will move to a better situation and give them money, because they aren't aware of all these things that he will need to pay here. They compare it to Morocco and think it is the same, but better. On the other hand, depending on where she plans to move there, unless she bought a nice house in a nice neighborhood, she will find herself harassed by poorer men who don't care that she is married.

All these things will weigh on that person and make them wonder why they should stick in that situation, especially with the added burden of a child that isn't theirs.

So true! And the problem is that most Moroccans can't visit here at all, or if they visit here for a short vacation, it isn't the same as living here, so they are still believing in the fantasy world of the U.S.A.

I tried to explain things to my husband before he came, but having no point of reference, all he could do was think that it was like Morocco. Even though he had heard things about here, believing it was, I guess, incomprehensible, because he couldn't imagine how Americans could work like slaves, accept that they don't get hardly any vacation, have debt, etcetera. In fact, it is hard to imagine, if you are from somewhere else, what Americans put up with and willingly accept. I don't blame him for being shocked and I think many people are shocked from many places. People in other places aren't willing to accept the type of living that is required here. Indeed, it isn't an easy place to live.

Look this isnt her first trip in a muslim country and believe me she is aware of culture and "SOME" of the ways. Having been there personally and staying with my guy in his village and in his moms house with him and traveling to many places while I was there I saw many things that people seem to think OFF WITH THEIR HEADS isnt as so.

Sorry let me start my post all over cause for some odd reason I tried to edit it and it would not let me.

First of all thank you all for the feedback. My friend has decided to take some time and will go slow (although I dont understand where some of you thought she would jump from divorce to marriage) But thank you.

Second, She has traveled the ME more times than most of you have visited your husbands and she is aware of the culture there. When I was in Morocco I saw prostitution, drugs, alcohol, I mean you name it I saw it and it was not different then here in the US. Morocco is not what some claim it to be. I traveled to many of the smaller places and major cities and saw many unwed couples living together. I dont understand why people think that morocco has such STRICT laws - I saw people paying the police and the police just turn their head. But then again I dont live there so I cant comment on everything.

@mimolicious - to answer your question - I came here for a friend and sought advice for her - simple. As far as here being paid for marriage I hardly dount that cause both were poor men. As far as common sense - Stupid is not asking and seeking - And if you had read my last post I was saying thank you and good bye because I had gotten the answers my friend needed - now you want to come in and try to belittle someone - step back ok. This is a forum to seek answers not to belittle anyone. As far as all you others who whant to joke about stuff not looking for that. The ones who gave their opinions thank you cause thats all I was looking for.

Now back to the subject, Ok getting married again may not be the thing to do NOW, but thats really not what she was going to do. She does understand very well what she is going to face with the CO but she also will accept all that they throw at her and in all honesty I know she will get thru this.

@ Golden Gate you are right this is a culture shock for some and quite overwhelming at times. I totally agree that its better to live in Morocco cause its just better. Hopefully my guy wont feel too overwhelmed but if he does, I am ready to move there for a while, definitely could use a break from this hell hole.

Ladies and gents I close with this. Never let the doubts of others make you believe that everything is impossible, Enjoy your 4th !

Are you serious?. Moroccan middle class will do anything to get to Europe, as a matter of fight several groups of young Moroccans were caught trying to reach Europe with fake Syrian IDs to get asylum in German or Belgium . I dont know where you get that people have such great life, most people are just brain washed by the government.

Moroccan middle class? Are you sure those Moroccans were middle class that got fake ids? Probably they were young men who were jobless or thought they could find something better. The fact that they can't easily travel to other countries make it so that they have to try to do it illegally. I guess you just read some news article about it. Perhaps you haven't ever lived in Morocco. By the way, there are times many Spanish have lived in Morocco to have a nicer life at times Spain wasn't doing well. Don't knock it til you try it.

I wish her good luck and you as well! You are right nothing is impossible :)

Don't knock it til you try it.

yeah, many young men trying to reach Europe desperately , as a matter of fact most Moroccans would wish to live in Europe, you just have to take a walk in the Netherlanders, Belgium, France, Spain. I dont know who you try to fool. Nobody wants to live in Morocco neither any other African country.

That last sentence is a very narrow minded and false assumption. You must not get out much to reach that conclusion.

I guess all you know about the continent of Africa is about a bunch of starving little naked kids running around.

How is it narrow manded when it is the reality ?, a good example is the amount of syrians that want to move to Europe rather than Morocco or Tunisia even though they speak the same language.
