My friend says US does not save fingerprints at PoE with touristvisas (example B2, VWP). I say they do, why else would they take all your fingerprints right?
But my friend says it is just to check for criminality but I am like "HELLO" obviously it is to check for previous overstays and other occurences.

What do you think?

The US doesn't have exit controls so I am not sure how fingerprints help identify overstays better than just names. But I am sure the prints are saved to help find identity theft and fake docs.
