Getting married soon in Philippines after I get back to U.S. I understand my first step is to file an I-130. Does anybody know anything about how long this process will take to bring my wife here and are there any helpful hints you can provide? Thank you.

It takes about a year, assuming you are a US citizen, 2-3 years if you are a grencard holder.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It will take about a year from filling to visa in hand for the cr1 for your wife.

The difference between the cr1 and ir1 is the amount of time the couple is married. If less than 2 years, cr1, if more than 2 years, ir1

K3 is obsolete.
