Hey everyone,

I have read of people bringing their I-797's to embassy interviews but not sure if this request is outdated by now or not.

Is this still required?

It has never been required. (Nor has a copy of the petition packet or further proof of relationship.)

You've got no visa info or a timeline, but IF you are K1, you need the I-797 for your adjustment of status packet so best to leave it safely in the US with the petitioner so you don't lose it in the move.
