Hello butters123. I'm wondering too about Los Angeles office processing. Last time I called uscis, the officer told me it's 5 months process for LA and November is should be the month for getting response for the interview date. He said November months isn't finished yet, so just wait till the end of the month. I check daily my elis account but don't see any movement.

We called a few days ago and got a generic response. The officer just said they are processing March 26, 2016 and have to wait 90 days. All we can do is wait.

Had my interview yesterday. Very low stress, the interviewer was friendly and the test was as easy as everyone expects. Looking forward to getting my oath ceremony notice. (There is no change in my online account yet.)

There didn't seem to be any problems, but the officer told me that the interview would take a bit longer than usual, because he was still getting used to the new system. (There was also another officer in the room, who was observing my interview in order to learn more about the system.) I didn't look at the time, but I think the interview lasted about half an hour, 40 minutes at most.

Yes, it's a new computer system. I believe this is related to the difference between NBC and IOE cases, and to the two kinds of online accounts accessible through the USCIS website. For the applicant, the interview experience isn't much different, from what I could tell, except that now you answer a few questions on an ipad, like accepting the oath of allegiance.

This morning (three days after the interview) I got an email alert that my account had been updated. It now says "Oath Ceremony Scheduled" and that I should expect the appointment notice by mail, but the notice itself isn't available online yet.

This is my first post to this forum.

Here is detail of my case.

Form type: IOE

Field office: Los Angeles, CA

PD: 06/12/2016

Fingerprints: 07/05/2016

There is no update since then. I am already out-of-normal processing time (5-months for LA). Whenever I try to submit an e-request online, the system complains and does not create a ticket. It says that my case is within the expected processing time. Unfortunately, having an appointment is not an option for me since I live in Pasadena and it takes 1 hour to drive Downtown LA.

Which number should I call in order to get updates regarding my case?

Additional note, my girlfriend applied 1.5 months after me and she was already placed for an interview last week. Her case is also IOE (later July filer) and field office is Providence, Rhode Island.

Hi Guys,

I had my Oath on Friday 18th and was very impressive with the whole process. The people at the court were so nice, helpful and informational. They gave us all a ton of information. I am in the process applying for my passport now. Hopefully that process will also go easy.

I would like to thank VisaJourney.com and all its community for its all the information provided. Also if anyone is preparing for the Interview. I recommend the website link below. The reason being instead of showing the answers as choice, it will first show the question and gives a button to show answer, like this you can answer first and then check to see if your answer is correct or not. I prepared for my interview on this site only. Other advantage is it will provide your state current senators, governor and representative names along with state capital and so on. Hope this helps someone.

Me too, I sent my application 5/27. NOA was 6/02 and biometrics 6/24 and nothing new since. I sent it to Dallas, TX and my field office is Hartford, CT. I heally hoped to wrap this up this year and now it's looking like January if I am lucky.

I just spoke with USCIS and was told they are currently working on May 3 for processing. She said within in next 30-60 days for interview. Geeez this is like watching paint dry. I am having surgery on my hand in January and I'll be in a cast so as luck will have it I bet I get called during that time. Not sure how I'll be able to sign any documents with my left hand.

Unfortunately, you'll have to call the National Service Center number, (800) 375-5283. You'll get a generic response like we did, (LA Field Office processing - 3/26/2016).

If you don't want to drive an hour through traffic at 110, you can always hop on the Gold Line and get off at Little Tokyo, the Fed Building is only a block away.
