Hello to all! New member here :)
So. my fiance (in the US) got the original form in the mail, but I didn't!!!
My question is..should I receive an original I-129F at all? Or do they send it to the petitioner only? I have printed out the scanned version he sent me, but will my interview be fine? lol
Thanks!

hello

welcome to the forum

what form your fiancé got? i believe you are talking about the I-797c which is the NOA1 saying that the USCIS received your I-129F that you mailed recently .. am I right ?

Or since you talk about the interview is it the Approval notice the I-797 which is the NOA2 .

you will be fine. A copy is fine....IF they even ask for it. Never heard of any embassies even wanting to see it.

Really? Its been brought to my attention that this form, the DS-160 and a valid password are what you must have..

NOA1? The letter that only states they received your petition? never heard of that.

Maybe you mean NOA2 - the letter that your petition is approved.....

Here's is what the guide says....

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. (backup information; the embassy will have copies of this as well)

Not seeing anything here, but maybe your consulate has some other requirement?

A copy of the NOA2 approval notice for I-129F is not needed for the K-1 interview. It will be needed later, after you are married and filing for AOS. So, tell your fiance not to lose it. Info for your consulate > http://macedonia.usembassy.gov/fiance_visa.html

Thank you so much ! :)

As the guide says this is only for backup reasons....the consulate will have their own copy.

Reading through the guides is helpful. Good Luck!

Thank you so much! And thanks for the links! Very useful :)

If it is the NOA2 that you are talking about .. this means your petition (I-129F as you like to call it) is approved and it is going to be sent to NVC .. (National Visa Center) ... the NVC will send a case number to the petitioner where he can track it while shipped to your embassy ... when your petition get to your embassy they will email you and give you the required instructions for the interview (Medical and all required document they need) ... try to refer to your country embassy forum where you can find posts and topics of people from your country who been through this before.

http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=Macedonia

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Macedonia

here a list of the common document required for interview :

- 2 passport pictures.

- your passport and a copy of your passport

- receipt from medical exam DS-3025 (usually they will tell you where and what Doctor you should see)

- copy of email from embassy.

- confirmation page of the DS-160.

- copy of your birth certificate.

- copy of your birth certificate translated in English and notarized.

- single status certificate or divorce or marriage annulment (whatever it is applicable in your country)

- single status certificate or divorce or marriage annulment translated in English and notarized.

- police certificate.

- police certificate translated in English and notarized.

- Affidavit of support. (Form I-134 .. your fiancé file this form and send it to you)

- Letter from employer. (your fiancé get this one from his work and send it to you)

- W2s, tax returns, bank statements, check stubs. (your fiancé get them and send it to you)

- Letter of intent to marry within the 90 days from you both. (same one as you filed he first time just with new dates and closer to interview date)

- Proof of relationship: emails, pictures, ect ... (news pic if any ... and new emails and chat history between the time you mailed the petition till the interview)

As i said these are the common documents i know (i hope i did not miss something) ... it may be slightly different for your embassy .. you need to investigate further in the forum ... i think it is time for your fiancé to start preparing the documents that he need to send you.

Good Luck !!

Thank you, I think I have all the necessary documents already! I'm just waiting for the letter from the Embassy! :)

But I really want to know whether they send the original form to both of us or just to my US fiance,,

The USC is the petitioner. They filed the I-129F. It is their petition. The notifications are sent to them.
