Oh, I was so tired and excited that I forgot to update) POE 10.08 New York. Already back together for 2 days after roughly 5 months.

Was worried about the border, heard that they can deny you even with perfect paperwork and visa, just because but all went fine. On top of that I went to a separate line at customs, with no one in front of me, which is crazy as the shortest line I've ever stood in on my previous visits was an hour long))

I approached the guy with the huge sealed package, passport and the declaration I filled on the plane (give that too, they stamped it) on what he smiled and asked if I'm first time immigrating (weird question ). I rambled something about it's not my first entry but the first time like this.

He said something like oh, let's see, who's the lucky guy, then asked how did we meet and what does he do for living. Meanwhile he was looking through my packet and stamped the passport.

Then the standard picture and fingerprints, after which he asked me to a back room to complete the process. There I waited ~10 minutes until a guy processed my documents, then he gave me back my passport and the declaration (no other papers, they keep the package) and that was all )

That was easy.
Just make sure not to look nervous and to be sure of yourself (oh well, you already went through that before and know it ), I was close to fail that one haha.

I had my POE at Denver yesterday and it went crazily quick! There was a separate line for visas and I was the only one in it! The customs woman I got called up to was just about to go home and I was her last person, another customs officer offered to take me through to secondary and process me there so she could go home but she decided just to process me at the booth. Didn't ask me any questions at all, just looked through the paperwork, did the usual fingerprint and picture, then gave me the speech about marrying in the 90 days and adjusting status. Told me good luck and that was it! Spent longer waiting on my bags than speaking to her

We got approved today!!!!!! Feel like dancing, feel like crying!!! My darling said the interview was a breeze; just like easy conversation & filled with laughter. We are so blessed; special thanks to VJ, all the helpful content eased a lot of doubts we had...our journey carries on! Best wishes everyone ???????

There is something else but it never worked for me though you can search visa passport tracking for your country and try it out In my case it always said that there is no record on my passport number.

Hii can anyone from London tell me how long their acro took to come back? I had some issues with a stolen bank card so was unable to send it off until a couple of days ago and my interview is in 3 weeks! I'm so anxious it will hold us up

Mine took about 8 days. When's your medical? You need it for that too.

hey may peeps i was curious im an august/sept filer , does the police report have to be valid for travel to the usa for the k1? or is it only the medical that needs to be valid and the police report valid is just for the interview?

Now I'm checking the SAVE case check site and there is a case on me, with just one entry saying Case Returned to Agency (Maryland SSA). Does it mean that everything's ready, anyone knows? It appears to be the mystery of the century, I could't find any comprehensive list of steps/statuses that thing would show.

What database are you talking about? You should have been entered electronically into the system at POE, and any time after that you can go online and retrieve/print I-94. https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

That is all you need to bring to SS office along with the completed form SS5.

Also, it is recommended you print this out and bring it with you as not all SS personnel are familiar with requirements for K-1 visa holders. https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211530

We were able to print the I-94 immediately and were at the SS office within hours applying. We're just waiting for it to arrive in the mail now, has been a little over 3 weeks.

https://www.uscis.gov/save/casecheck this is what I'm talking about, there is a case created after the entry in US, they need the information to be in the db to be able to perform a check before issuing the ss#. That's why they say better come in 2 weeks after arriving but that didn't stop us
