Actually Oriz pays better than McDonald's :P

McDonald's Hourly Pay
Job Title McDonald's Salary

Certified Shift Manager $10.17/hr
Crew $8.36/hr
Drive Thru Cashier $8.32/hr

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Wait...you are paying her payroll taxes right? FICA , unemployment. If you dont take out those taxes, she will still need to pay.

Or are you "doing her a favor" by paying her under the table?

If she's a subcontractor then she is responsible for all of it. Such a deal!

Not when Oriz's employee is a subcontractor. Figure in the time to fill out all the paperwork and she's barely cracking $7 an hour.

Hey, let's go back to working 7 days a week and getting locked inside your work so you don't have any smoke or pee breaks. Why did we stop doing that anyway? Gee, I just can't remember...

Not a big fan of that. In fact, you wouldn't find many bigger fans than me to being online from work. I do it all the time.

Thats nothing

When I was a kid I would get up even before I went to bed, milk the cows and then walk to school, over 20 miles, uphill, in the snow, both ways, and we liked it!

egtwownvmti_o_saturday-night-live-dana-c

Not sure what the purpose of that post is, because nothing I said was exaggerated. Walk a mile in our shoes.

At $10 an hour for a subcontractor, you should've kissed the ground she walked on. She was responsible for all the paperwork and you simply pressed the open button on the cash register.

What paperwork? She didn't do no paperwork.

do you think maybe she said she could 'only work so much' because you're only allowed to earn a certain amount of money before you have to start paying 'subcontractor' taxes on $10.00 an hour?

She did not go over that amount for just holiday help. Had she come in every Tuesday she would have, but, for someone her age it would still have been alot better than mcdonalds.

not to mention, he clearly is working his poor wife to death..my goodness.

I don't tell my wife what to do. In fact I had to convince her to take 1 day off. She's following her dream. If you work so hard all your life and break your body in order to accomplish something the last thing you do is quit when you're there.

how do you know what she was making at the other job? it's not an amount accrued at one place of employment - it's total, all income, annually.

i wasn't telling your wife what to do, not sure why you'd say that. i'm also not sure why you're so proud that she's 'breaking her body' when she's apparently 'made it' but to each his own.

No taxes? She still had to pay taxes and do all the paperwork. You're the one who was making out in that deal.

Dude, you think far too highly of yourself.

Again not sure what paperwork you're talking about. Under $600 a year you don't pay taxes. That is why I called her a helper not an employee. We don't have employees, just holiday help.

Well, Sarah was a smart cookie and has moved on thank goodness....

Ori, ya fool!!! She could have made ya millions.

If lazy and unreliable is your definition of smart you are correct.

I didn't say you were, I said I don't. I'm proud of what she achieved and had to fight to get to where she is today, not happy she's breaking her body now. I recall I already told you in the past we will be closing in 3.5 years once she feels she accomplished what she set out to. And then she will be in her 40's retired/on disability. THAT's how much damage was already done.

i feel like you're out of touch with working class america, considering your exemplification of your wife as a unique worker.
