My wife goes in for her interview this Wednesday morning 9-21. I will ask her to try to remember everything asked and let you all know.

I called the 800 number and did not press any buttons and it connected me through the Spanish speaking line. I spoke to a level one person and requested to be passed to an immigration officer level 2. You may have to tell them your story first and when they cant help (they cant) then ask for level 2. Some are nice about it and some not nice. If they ask to put you in the queue for a call back--do it. They do call you back. I talk to them for my wife, but she needed to be on the phone to give me authority to speak. If you have passed 90 days after your fingerprint date, then you can call and they will try to help you. We spoke to one officer who said to call every Friday but within 1-2 weeks, we had our interview letter. maybe coincidence or not.

We're here. No change in N-400. So frustrating because we'd filled out the "old" form and decided to switch to the "new" one thinking it was the right thing to do. His I-751 is still pending, incredibly, too. We contacted our representative last Fri. to check why ROC is taking over a year. I think Boston is very slow. It seems that VSC sent ROCs to local offices. People in the ROC threads report getting an approval notice from their local offices. So we haven't heard anything about I-751 OR N-400 from Boston...

Today is the interview. I will try to record which questions were asked and post an update in the next couple days.

The next adventure will be the oath ceremony--we fly out of the country in November and hope it is completed prior to then.

On the application, my wife said 'no' when asked if she wanted to change her name but she has changed her mind. Can she bring that up during the interview or will it cause problems?

She doesn't have a middle name and so left it blank when coming here. Her married name is her first name and my last name. She wants her family name as a middle name.

Not sure what office you mean.

My husband did an infopass in Boston in Aug. when his extension letter was about to expire. He got a stamp in his passport to extend his LPR status, but the person at the Boston office didn't give any information about when the I-751 would be approved or when the N-400 interview would be.

We filled out a privacy release form for Rep. Keating, our congressman, and emailed it to his staffer. I also called to confirm receipt. His office will check with USCIS to see why the I-751 is taking so long. We had also done a Tier 2 service request over a month ago about the I-751, were told we'd get a status letter in 2 weeks, and we never got anything.
