It's quite concerning to me that you still haven't gotten your fingerprints yet, given it's been 3 weeks since you filed. Oh well, I guess LA is just slow.

I'm actually going to be abroad for two weeks (last week of June/first of July), so the nightmare scenario for me would be getting the fingerprints notice AND the appointment date being allocated for a date while I'm away. That would suck. At least if I get the notice before I leave, even if the date is while I will be away, I could do an early walk-in.

First of all, what documents to send with your application depends on how you are applying for Naturalization: 5year rule, 3 year rule (married to a US citizen), service in US military, etc.

I see that you (like my wife) have applied under the 3year rule. On page 11 of the Form N-400 Instructions it says that "Below is a list of documents to bring with you to your Form N-400 interview." and it lists IRS tax transcripts as one of the evidences for your marriage to your US spouse. Then, on the first page of Form M-477 (Document Checklist for Naturalization) it says "Send copies of the following documents, unless we ask for an original." and then again lists IRS tax transcripts as one of the evidences for your marriage to your US spouse.

So, you are correct that on the instructions page it says BRING the transcripts to the interview but it says to SEND them with the application. Honestly, I think you are safe and you shouldn't worry at all! After reading tons of posts and forums here on VJ it seems that for the purpose of getting to the interview they only need the basic documents that you mentioned (form, photos, marriage cert and green card) and IF there are any documents needed (or missing) you can bring all of them to the interview. I very much believe that the immigration officer at the interview has the final say in this process and if you present everything to them at the time of interview there shouldn't be any problems.

So, sit tight with the rest of us here and for both my wife's and your sake let's hope that the angels at the Los Angeles office get their #### together and review the applications faster :ranting:

Biometrics complee at the Manchester, NH Field Office. We arrived 40 minutes early and were the only car in the parking lot. Breezed through the metal detector and to the fingerprint desk and were again the only people in the room. Filled out the single page form and turned it in. Within five minutes the fingerprints were complete and we were headed out--thank you Manchester. Nice, helpful staff/security and a clean building. I noticed an oath auditorium and asked how often they do the oath ceremony and they said there are three sites in town and each site performs one oath ceremony each month. So after passing the interview (positive thoughts) it should be fairly short order to get into an oath ceremony. Good luck everyone!!

That's great to hear! The college at which I teach actually holds oath ceremonies in its auditorium so I can't wait until it' my turn. I'll just have to go in to work. :dancing::P

Fingerprints where scheduled for June 6. But i successfully did a walk in today!! no questions asked! Let's use a BLUE font for walkins on the chart. that way we know who actually did walk in's, i fixed my selfs along with seanESQ since i noticed his prior post. let me know if you do a walkin or DID so i can fix the chart :)

05/24/06 - Biometrics letter became viewable online (appt scheduled for 06/07/16) - Day 14

05/27/16 - Received Biometrics letter in mail - Day 17

05/31/16 - Was denied walk-in fingerprints with just 1 person left in line. Milwaukee office, boo! - Day 21
