Hi there,

My wife is going through the stages to become a us citizen. She did the fingerprints and has the interview at the end of April. She filed an I-130 petition for me around a year ago which was approved but of course I am very far behind in the queue. So basically as she is becoming a citizen soon, does anybody have experience of applying for the K-3 visa for their spouse at this stage? so that I can be with her up until she has become a citizen and 'moved be up the list' which probably will mean I won't get my residency until September. So basially I know I could wait until then and do the procedure out of the country, or is there a way such as K-3 to move there soon and adjust my status over there?

hi

first of all, the K3 is for spouses of USC, so the K3 can't be filed until your wife becomes a USC

second, as said, it is practically obsolete, your case will go faster once your wife is a USC, so no need for the K3
