So its been 1 week after my "interview" now, and of course still no news...

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.

Just received my Green Card today We didn't get called into an interview! My card is valid for 10 year though.... That has to be a mistake, right?

April 11th: Recieved at Chicago lockbox [Day 0]

April 25th: NOA1 date (never recieved e-notifications) [Day 14]

April 29th: NOA1 hard copy recieved in the mail [Day 18]

May 9th: "Fingerprint fee recieved" [Day 28]

May 12th: Reciept number's start working on USCIS case status website [Day 31]

May 20th: Biometrics letter recieved [Day 39]

June 1st: Biometric appointment [Day 51]

​November 12th: Interview letter received ​[Day 216]

December 1st: Interview day! APPROVED [Day 235]

December 5th: Case status changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "Approved" post dated Dec 1st [Day 239]

Received approval letter in the mail for Green card [Day 239]

December 6th: "Card was mailed to me" [Day 240]

I just called USCIS to put in a service request. Basically i was told that my local office is currently working on Sept 2015 I-485, looks like i have a bit of a wait before i'll get that GC. I've put in a service request for my EAD, i was told to wait about 15 days. Looks like i have a veerrryyy long wait ahead of me. :cry::cry::cry:

Day 91, 10 days after SR, cases still not in system, no progress

Oh no, hopefully you hear very soon, I think people started seeing movement about 11 days after....hope it's your turn soon!

I'm sorry about the wait! But I'm sure at least the EAD card you will have soon!

Hello Fellow Visa Journey Members,

So we called USCIS in the morning and got a call back from Tier 2 a few minutes ago. All of our cases are still pending for processing. There has been no progress on any of them.

So we informed the officer that the last time we spoke with Tier 2(while opening a SR), we were advised that we should have our work permit by July 13th, 2016 but as of today the cases are still pending so what would you suggest we do?

The Tier 2 officer advised that we should wait for the Service Request response, which usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. So the earliest we can call and check will be July 14th.

We are currently on Day 89 since USCIS received our application and will reach Day 90 tomorrow.

In an attempt to further identify the possible causes of delay, we also asked the Tier 2 officer if the Biometrics have been cleared by FBI. She advised that the only information she can share is if i have attended the Biometrics appointment. The results and the followup process after that are just internal and she cannot provide any more information.

Disheartened with no good news, we completed our call.

Reading about success posts from fellow visa journey members got my hopes high but i guess, we just have to sit and play this waiting game. This entire process of over an year has tested us every step of the way with so many delays.

I just wish if god could have mercy on us and help us through this difficult path. Congratulations to all the recent approvals and good luck for the rest of the visa journey members.

I feel your pain, but no worries I'm so sure you will hear soon, keep up the hope!!

Congrats! I called USCIS today about my AP and EAD since I am at day 85. One hour later both were approved and the receipt numbers now showing online.

OMG congrats!! gives me hope as I put in the SR at day 84 :rolleyes:

After 90days my EAD/AP is approved :dancing: 11days after service requested.

YAY congratulations!!!

I don't check my status online that often because I kind of gave up... Today my status changed into EAD/AP approved. :)

Also went to the DMV (Santa Monica/CA) today to renew my licence which expired 3 months ago. It was super easy. They only needed my expired licence, SSN and I didn't even have to pay for it. I don't know if that's the case if you haven't had DL before...

Woooo right before we give up, then we get the best news, congrats!!

Your back!!! Did you submit a service request?

Yes i am ;) that post that got me suspendet actually came from my lovely husband ?

I will give them time till friday and then call the military helpline... Maybe there is something they can do..

Although in the meantime i found out that my petition( that was missing at the interview) went to the NVC and i dont know if uscis has requestet it back or if they sent it back to the uscis upon my request on last friday. I only got an email from the NVC, saying that it is being send back there and that i have to make further inquiries with the uscis.

5/12/2016 - checks cashed [Day 7] 7/28/2016 - case numbers for i-130 and i-765 started working to say case was received on May 6 [Day 84]

5/16/2016 - got 3 NOAs in the mail, dated May 12, priority date is 7/29/2016 - case status of I-765 is "New Card Is Being Produced", later in the evening - "Case Was Approved" [Day 85]

May 6 (haven't received any emails or texts) [Day 11] 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

6/10/2016 - got biometrics letter in the mail, notice date is June 4, 2016, which 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

Its ok, it was kinda dramatic ;)

We got there only to hear from the officer that he can't approve the application because he hasnt received the i-130 ( approved) from the other service center yet. So we got sent back home with nothing.

Exactly!!! Its so unfair that if we make the tiniest mistake or are 1 minute late or whatever, they can deny or return the entire application, but if they mess up, who has to pay?! Us!

i wish someone could be hold liable for that, but no :/

I am just so done with waiting. I wanna hear a decision. Approved or denied, i dont care. We do have a back up plan. We just dont want to waste anymore time. So i might just call them today.
