Preparing the Evidence of Bonafide Marriage

So we started our long proccess, and currently working with RapidVisa.

Unfortunately for the Evidence we don't have that much stuff to provide, so we stop on

1) Photos from our 7 years relationship + Wedding photos.

2) Joint bank account statement of money flow.

3) Ticket copies and various stuff from our trips together.

4) Fittness club membership cards (?)

5) Couple of sworn affidavits from friends and coworkers.

So do you think it will be enough?

How can we organize all this stuff, can we write on the back of photos , like dates and events?

I think you should be fine with your proofs. We have sent also wedding congratulations, wedding announcments, recepits from our wedding. FB and whatsapp chats, bus tickets.We wrote on the back of our photos:who is on the photo(in case there were more people), place and date. We put all the proofs in one file, so it would be all together.

Thank you for the answer! Ok so it is safe to write down on the photos, because I think it's important to indicate that we are together for 7 years.

What do you mean by that?

If you're going through a tough embassy, you're gonna have to really front load your petition with lots and lots of bona fida evidence.

In regards to the photos, we copied the photos into Word and wrote a comment under each photo of who was in it and the date it was taken and then printed it out.

Flight tickets don't really show anything, as they can be cancelled, you're better off sending boarding passes or copies of passport stamps showing trips to see each other.

I wouldn't worry too much about the affidavits, they don't really carry any weight but if you already have them included them, otherwise I'd leave them out.

Our embassy is in Armenia, and unfortunately I don't know how "tough" is it, concerning CR1 visas.

Thats ALOT more than I sent. An I used Rapidvisa. They good but got to watch them.they mailed my pcket to NVC wen it say need to email.and call them on everything if theres a question.an put pics in plastic zip bag. They will organize all

Do your spouse has a Life insurance, have him add you as the Beneficiary, and other join accounts, Bank, Realtor, Utilities, ei,

Passport stubs, Visa to you your country and Chat/Text Logs. hope that helps..A56

All we sent in with ours was some photos of our wedding, pics taken in both countries, letters from friends, passport photos, copy of marriage certificate & other certificates, birth etc & we didn't have any problems! I'm guessing you should be fine with what you have. Good luck!!

Did Rapid Visa advise you to send affidavits? I'm seeing many cases here where people are using this organisation and have been led to believe they have to have affidavits from friends. They are pretty worthless. Focus on physical evidence of the two of you spending time together and being in an ongoing relationship. Not love stories written by your friends.

Here's what we sent:

Photos over the whole time span of our relationship (4 years)

Photos of us two and also with other family members

My I-94 records

Samples of emails over the lifespan of our relationship - not just romantic ones but ones where we discussed day to day issues that married couples do (money, car repairs, whether to spend Christmas with his mother or with his cousin, my health, my parents' divorce, what colour curtains to buy for the living room, etc,etc)

A copy of my hospital records from an extended hospital stay last year that show my husband as my next of kin and emergency contact

My workplace pension that shows my husband as the sole beneficiary should I die before I retire

A similar thing as the above from my husband's insurance

A police report from a minor car accident we had where the officer wrote "Mr X and his wife, Mrs X who is visiting him from England..."

Copies of cards sent to us as a couple

Copy of the paperwork from the counsellor (when we got married we had to do pre-marital counselling beforehand - it was a local rule there at the time but not required anymore)
