Am I able to visit my fiancé in the United States while waiting on interview date?

Hi there! I just got off the phone with USCIS and they informed me that there is nothing that states I cannot visit my fiancé while waiting on my visa. However, they did say it's entirely up to the boarder officer when traveling. This being said, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? I am wanting to go next month and stay until our interview date which I'm assuming will be may/June. Thanks!

I traveled back and forth quite a bit and it was no trouble. In the end, It will always be up to the person at the border. That said, they shouldn't stop you from visiting if you are legitimately visiting. I always brought proof of ties to home when I traveled while waiting on my visa. They never asked for it, but I was ready if they did.

Generally speaking you can visit. Be truthful about your plans. You don't have to share you are going through the immigration process unless asked. Be concise. Bring proof of your ties to Canada. Shorter trips are better than longer ones. Plane rides with return tickets seem better than driving.

I agree with all of the above information. Be truthful and have sufficient ties to Canada. I travelled by bus and had return tickets. Had no issues, visited 2-3 times during the process.

I was always the honest traveler, I travelled every 3 months. I was open and honest about having a petition on going.

I never had issues but I also brought a letter from my employer stating when I was expected to be back at work and a return ticket booked. They never asked for the information but I felt better having it.

You can visit. Remember that it is ALWAYS up to the immigration officer whenever you travel. That statement has nothing to do with the visa process.
