Check your case doesn't work for me right now, anybody else has that problem or is it from my side?

Met around 2011/2012 in a game (league of legends) super random, best friends ever since... grew closer as friends and desided in 2013 to try dating, flew over and we had a click =)

The case tracker is temporarily down, for maintenance, I guess...

Question:

I've noticed that most cases here are adjusting from K1 visas. I was wondering if anyone would be able to inform me if there is any difference between adjudicating a K1 visa and a Visa Waiver Program overstay?

Is there any possibility that the interview might be waived for a VWP overstay (parent of USC)?

Also, do these AOS of VWP overstay cases take longer than a K1 for instance to adjudicate?

Oct. 03, 2012: Received interview appt. for Nov. 7, 2012

Oct. 04, 2012: EAD in production notification received!!

Oct. 13, 2012: Received EAD in the mail!

A wvp overstay will definitely interview. It doesn't take any longer as far as I can see. Look at my time line. (although I did have an approved i130 before sending in the Aos paperwork).

Got my EAD card had a online update saying delivered and ran to the mail box and it was there! My constant harassing of the congressman worked :D hope you all get ur cards soon!

A wvp overstay will definitely interview. It doesn't take any longer as far as I can see. Look at my time line. (although I did have an approved i130 before sending in the Aos paperwork).

Thank you for the info, I guess we'll just have to wait for that interview appointment, which will probably take a while since our local office is sooooo behind with older cases :-/

All I needed right now is more patience and less anxiety!

Hey congrats!! I see you went from "ead approved" to "card received" in a few days - nice!

I was approved and card sent for production on April 26... but still nothing in the mailbox.

Seems like a lottery at the moment as to how long the actual cards are taking to be printed and mailed.

Can anyone shed any more light on this?

@ heather&kevin I expedited mine based on a job offer I received April 15th which is why I got mine quick it still felt like it took forever though! I'm sure your card will be in the mail soon!

It took me 6 days to receive the combo card in the mail after the approval in the system. Maybe it was produced before these long delays, but this is my experience. I didn't expedite it and I never called USCIS or anybody to ask or follow up.

I see that some of us have been contacting a congressman.

Where can I find more info about it? Who they are, what they do, when is it appropriate to contact them, etc.?

I searched Google for the congressman in the county which I reside and it gave me contact info. They then give u a privacy form to fill out, request evidence and you have to write them a letter detailing why you need it expedited there's certain categories such as I had a job offer so I stated it would be a severe financial burden on the company and myself and had to explain to the congressman why.

Been over a week since EAD/AP was approved i asked how long ild have to wait until i get the actual card (so i could give companies an estimate time when i could start) its not 30 days atm, its 60 days

Thank you. I think I'll give it a few more days without any hanging on the telephone nonsense - I'll sure I'll soon be missing the 'not allowed to work' status anyway, once I'm legally allowed to work for the rest of my life ;)

It took me 6 days to receive the combo card in the mail after the approval in the system. Maybe it was produced before these long delays, but this is my experience. I didn't expedite it and I never called USCIS or anybody to ask or follow up.

Your approval was April 27, which was one day after mine - so I am ever hopeful my card is somewhere in the mail system... just seems odd to my organised brain that they don't process these things in any kind of order. You were on a regular K1 yeah? Nothing different about your process?
